0Zombie Survival title Dying Light fades into 2015
A bit of bad new by Techland for those looking forward to their open-world zombie apocalypse game; Dying Light will now emerge only in February 2015 on the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The melee-oriented first-person game, which boasted of parkour-like freedom of movement to get around the zombie-infested world, was previously scheduled for release this year itself.
The developers have cited the motivation to ensure optimum quality for the final release as the reason for the postponement, stating “We believe the Natural Movement element of our game will change what you expect from the genre, and we don’t want to sacrifice any of its potential by releasing too early….The new date ensures that we can fully realize our vision of an innovative open world game. We won’t need to make compromises or trade-offs on any of the five platforms we’re working on.” To help alleviate the pain of the delay, Techland has promised to reveal more about the game starting from the annual E3 event next month.
