Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z Costumes Trailer reveals Dead or Alive 5 collaboration

Team Ninja, Comcept and Spark Unlimited’s collaboration may be a fast-paced hack ‘n’ slasher featuring a cyborg ninja out for revenge, but that doesn’t mean the protagonist doesn’t get time to take a break from chopping up the shambling dead and change into some trendy clothing from time to time. The clip shows off a fair bit of gameplay with changing character skins such as Mighty No. 9, Camouflage, Nuigulumar and even a Schoolgirl. Furthermore, the short scene at the end of the clip suggests that we can expect something of a crossover DLC between Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z and Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate.

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is currently scheduled for release on 21 March, after being pushed back a few weeks for additional polish (more on that here). Given that it’s been quite while since we have seen a good third-person combat game, we hope that this Unreal Engine 3-powered title is up to the task.
