Wolfenstein: The New Order gets ‘BOOM BOOM’ gameplay trailer, box art

Bethesda Softworks has issued the box art for Wolfenstein: The New Order, the next iteration in the long-running FPS series being developed by MachineGames; you can check out how the cover artwork looks like below for the PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4. Set to arrive on 20 May in North America and on 23 May in Europe, the game takes place in an alternate history where the Nazi war machine won the Second World War, leaving our hero on a mission across Europe to overturn the tide.

Furthermore, it appears that those who pre-order the game will receive access to the Doom 4 Beta being developed by id Software, so that’s a pretty good incentive for fans of the genre. A new trailer has also been issued for The New Order, depicting some of the various characters in the game, including protagonist B.J.Blazkowicz, Wyatt III, Caroline Becker, Fergus Reid, Anya Oliwa, General Deathshead and Frau Engel, as well as various new bits of fast-paced gameplay.
