Tecmo Koei has issued the announcement trailer for Samurai Warriors 4, Omega Force’s next instalment in the popular hack-and-slash series, which releases on 21 October across North America and on 24 October in Europe for the PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. The game, which boasts of a roster of 55 playable characters inspired by warriors from Japan’s Warring States period, allows for co-op play and cross saves across the aforementioned systems.
As a sequel, it also brings new moves such as Hyper Attacks, Rage Attacks, Mighty Strikes and more, detailed battlefields to wage war on, improved visuals with better lighting and shadows as well as many more enemies to dish out the pain to, while new battle modes which allow for features like quick switching between two characters, morale adjustments and officer developments adds to the immersion of the gameplay experience. Furthermore, the Story mode brings with it interesting tales filled with intriguing characters from across the land, whereas Chronicle Mode lets you focus on quest completion and customisation with an upgraded character creation system.
