inXile Entertainment has a great surprise in store for next-gen console owners, revealing that their post-apocalyptic tactical RPG Wasteland 2 is now heading to the Xbox One and PS4 in a Game of the Year Edition; check out the trailer and screenshots celebrating the announcement!
The upcoming version of the game, which sees players control a squad of Desert Rangers in Arizona, will include several enhancements, such as a new Perks and Quirks (traits) system with unique bonuses allowing for greater customisability of your team members; a fresh Precision Strike system that allows players to focus shots at individual body parts crippling or stunning opponents or destroying their armour; better visual effects, characters models and enhanced environments with improved lighting and shading due to the use of the Unity 5 game engine as well as new voiceovers for certain main characters and story parts.
The trailer below provides some interesting statistics underscored by gameplay from the RPG, while also emphasizing the fact that the huge amount of decisions and branching quests means that players playthroughs are likely to vary wildly for every wildly.
