0Total War: Attila trailer, images accompany announcement of release date, pre-order bonus and Special Edition details
SEGA has unveiled a new trailer and some images to mark the announcement of the release date of Total War: Attila, and to shine a light on the game’s pre-order bonus and Special Edition content.
Creative Assembly’s strategy title, which can be pre-ordered now, will launch globally on 17 February 2015 on both physical and digital formats; pre-emptively securing a copy now from certain retailers will net players The Viking Forefathers Culture Pack for free. The trailer showcases the DLC, which add three playable factions – The Danes, The Jutes and The Geats. The content can also be purchased separately for £5.99/€7.49/$7.99.
Meanwhile, the Special Edition boasts of some exclusive content, such as the Attila The Hun Biography written by Nic Fields and published by Osprey Publishing; the biography contains illustrated maps, artwork and archaeological photographs, while allowing customers to delve into the life and actions of the titular warlord. There’s also a double-sided Reference Guide poster, with the game’s campaign map artwork on one side and a playable faction reference guide on the other. Last but not the least, there’s the aforementioned Viking Forefathers downloadable content.
