Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Launch Trailer sees Lara master the island
We are a bit late on this, but better late than never, so here you go: Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics’ remastered edition of Lara Croft’s first major adventure is all set to hit the Xbox One and PS4 on 28 January, and this trailer does a good job of giving us a rundown on the origins story of the famous adventurer. Furthermore, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition runs at a sweet smooth 1080p resolution, resulting in some true quality visuals further enhanced by the improved 4x texture resolutions and ingame characters.
Adding to the mix is the much-talked about TressFX feature, which you can view in detail here; this supposedly allows for more realistic hair simulation which combined with the higher polygon body density and effects means one can expect improved graphic fidelity. The Definitive Edition all contains all the previously released DLC as well as the digital versions of the Dark Horse comic, a mini art book and the Final Hours developer videos.
Having finished this on the PC and procured hours of fun from it, this is one game I would heartily recommend to fans of survival/action games; it doesn’t matter if you aren’t a fan of the franchise as the gameplay is quite different from previous titles in the series, with w welcoming easy learning curve, a rewarding XP system and various weapons to play around with.
