Teaser trailer, screenshots of co-op brawler Zombie Vikings

Zoink has issued a teaser trailer and several images from Zombie Vikings, their colourful 2D co-op brawler inspired by Norse mythology set to launch on the PC and PS4 in July 2015.

The game, reportedly priced at $11.99/£7.99/€9.95, features four-player co-op starring four different zombie Vikings – each of whom has unique skills and story. Developed by the indie team in the vein of an old-school hack’n’slash title, the plot revolves around the four characters – Gunnborg, Seagurd, Hedgy and Caw-kaa – traversing different locations, like the swamps of Molgaga and the intestines of the Midgaard Serpent, in search of Odin’s one remaining magic eye which was stolen by Loki.

Furthermore, since the four are technically undead, this means that getting beheaded isn’t the head of the tale; the developers have even teased that players can combine zombies to form a massive zombie, though they have yet to elaborate on that. Watch the trailer for copious amounts of awesome!
