The video showcases some new gameplay footage and informs us that the game has received over 90 awards and nominations this year at E3. The clip below is constructed mostly with disjointed segments, where we see our hero Aiden Pearce hacking in the electrical infused infrastructure around him, with the help of his smart phone, which will allow players to use various methods to accomplish objectives. He can hack people’s phones to extract confidential information or hack traffic lights to cause collisions, trigger electric surges in a city block , and more.

Watch Dogs is set to hit stores on 22 November for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One.

Dominic Guay, senior producer of Ubisoft Montreal’s Watch Dogs, recently elaborated on the Disrupt Engine, calling it the base of the multiplatform open-world action game, and expanded on how its efficiency allowed for incredible levels of detail and the seamless transition between online and offline gameplay.

Praising the dynamic nature of the world in Watch Dogs, Guay talked about the reactive nature of the environment and characters in the game resulting in more a realistic experience, such as rainfall causing people to open up their umbrellas and wind moving debris around and forcing people to tighten their jackets. Another interesting example is how a car accident would result in a traffic jam, with motorists honking horns or getting out of their vehicles to see what’s going on or even calling up emergency services. What this means is that players can expect an unparalleled level of realism and reactivity in such a dynamic open-world.

Furthermore, NPC’s won’t behave the same throughout the game irrespective of your actions; instead, how you play the game will affect their response to your character. In other words, the citizens of this Chicago look-alike city may turn hostile and call the cops on you, while your face may also be splattered frequently on the news, if you choose a playstyle involving indiscriminate violence (did someone say GTA).

We have already seen a bit of how the multiplayer portion of the game plays out, allowing for a seamless gameplay experience without altering the environment. However, the lack of matchmaking etc and the demonstrated network synchronisation doesn’t mean that anyone can intrude on your game; other players can only enter your game if they accept a contract with your name on it, though you can turn off this connectivity if you prefer a more traditional experience. Guay also reiterated that multiplayer would not be available during story missions, so there’s no need to worry that the online connectivity will disrupt your Watch Dogs experience.

Last but definitely not the least is the flexibility of the Disrupt Engine, allowing the developers to make it accessible for a variety of platforms varying from current-gen consoles such as the Xbox 360 and PS3 to the next-gen ones – Xbox One/PS4. However, better hardware and tech means that next-gen systems will have better shaders, crowd density, particle effects, wind/weather simulation effects etc. Nonetheless, keep in mind that the base game stays the same, and the developers are striving to ensure that the experience is the same for gamers across the board.

If you remember a few days back Ubisoft launched the following website (http://wearedata.watchdogs.com/), related to its upcoming open-world action game Watch Dogs set in Chicago, wherein the CtOS monitoring system is manipulated by the protagonist to utilise/spy on/intervene/hack etc as he sees fit. Now the website has gone live, and it appears to be one which allows users to access real-time data viewable via a 3D mapping system for the cities and inhabitants of Berlin (Germany), London (UK) and Paris (France).

What this means is that you can view information such as public transport schedules; communications networks such as WiFi hotspots and internet relay; urban infrastructure such as ATM’s, traffic lights, public toilets and CCTV’s, as well as social media activities by locals with their public posts on networks such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Furthermore, one can also view regionalised demographic-related data unemployment and crime rates, with Ubisoft stating that the system is an attempt an portraying the reality of the hyper-connected world, but what may creep you out is the amount of public and personal info that can be easily accessed by anyone online.

Here’s a new gameplay video of Ubisoft Montreal’s open-world action-adventure Watch Dogs, in which players assume the role of a brilliant hacker interfacing with and manipulating an advanced monitoring system called the Central Operating System (ctOS), which allows him to observe and intervene in various situations utilising his cyber tech skills. The clip below shows off a bit of the multiplayer portion of the title, in which one the player identifies a rival hacker and attempts to chase him down and eliminate him.

Later, we see how one can hack into another player/target to expand their own network, though the opponent is able to hack into a camera system and uses it to identify him, resulting in the former entering a car to evade him. Yep, the premise is certainly interesting and promises for some very tense and action-packed scenarios. Want to find out more about Watch Dogs?
In addition Ubisoft has also detailed the game’s multiplayer. The concept of multiplayer is very interesting and it stands out-players will be able to hack other player’s world at any time and install virus in their in-game smartphone. Once the hacking cycle begins player will have limited amount of time to find the invader. Both the hackers and the player who have been hacked will always be Aiden. Its just that you won’t be able to tell because the hacker will appear as a regular NPC in your game. However the hackers those who have invaded will also see themselves as Aiden Pearce on their screens. Ubisoft has said the multiplayer functionality can be turned off at any point of time . Multiplayer will get automatically disable when you are busy in a main mission.

Set for release in November on the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and Wii U, the game revolves around one man utilising technology to dispense justice and bring down criminals.
