Ubisoft has released the launch trailer for Valiant Hearts: The Great War, an adventure game that will let you experience some of the actual events of the First World War in form of an animated comic book. Valiant Hearts revolves around five heroes attempting to survive the devastating war and trying to bring back together German solider and his lost love, while traversing varied locales such as trenches, the beautiful French countryside as well as snow-covered grounds, along with their faithful canine companion. This trailer shows various action-sequences created using Ubisoft’s UbiArt Framework that was previously used to create titles like Rayman Origins and Child of Light. Check out the trailer below

Valiant Hearts: The Great War Developer Diary Video Talks About WWI Historical Events

A new developer diary for Valiant Heart: The Great War has surfaced online, the team talks about how they have implemented some of the real-life historical events in their upcoming story-driven adventure puzzler.

The team actually wanted players to see what really happened during World War I. We also learnt that during World War I many dogs were used and they were called “casualty dogs” and their vital part. They were trained to find wounded or dying solider on the battlefield. Check out the video below and tell us what you think in the comments below.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War developer diary talks about art style and narrative

Ubisoft recently posted the first in the series of a developer dairy for its story-driven adventure puzzler Valiant Hearts: The Great War. The video below shows how the game’s concept took place, when artist Paul Tumelaire was doing some sketches on UbiArt framework. His sketches are emotionally powerful and have the potential to tell the story of WWI in a very expressive way. During the developing process of the game, the team went through lot of books and extracted some of the stories of the regular people and thats what inspired to make this emotional and touching game.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War will be available for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3 on 25^th June.

Ubisoft has announced Valiant Hearts: The Great War, an upcoming puzzle game set during the World War I-era that tells the tale of 5 unsung heroes Emile, a French prisoner of war; Lucky Freddie, an American soldier; Anna, a medic; and George, a British pilot; Karl, a German solider and their dog as they try to survive the devastating war and battle for love and honour.

Valiant Hearts will launch on 25^thJune for the price of $14.99, and will be available for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4. The game is being powered by UbiArt Framework, the graphics engine behind titles like Rayman Origin and recently released Child of Light.

Ubisoft has issued the debut trailer for Valiant Hearts: The Great War, their story-driven adventure puzzler set during the World War era scheduled for release in 2014 on the PC, as well as current and next-generation consoles. The game focuses on five distinct characters attempting to reunite a German soldier and his long lost love, while traversing the grimy trenches, the beautiful French countryside as well as snow-covered fields guided by a faithful canine companion.

Developed in the style of an animated comic book, the game boasts a unique yet very appealing art style perfectly suited to the touching yet comical adventure; expect WW1 locations such as Reims or Montfaucon between 1914 and 1918, as well as historical battles on the Western Front, such as the Battle of the Marne or the Battle of the Somme. The video above reveals a bit more about the game’s plot and its central characters, such as the French prisoner held captive by German soldiers, an American volunteer and a British aviator.
