The game is described as a survival horror game, which is being developed by Shinji Mikami who is the head of the Tango Gamewoks and the creator of the popular Resident Evil series. The game is being powered by id’s Tech 5 and is set for launch in 2014 for the PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4. The game promises to deliver a true survival horror experience. Players will traverse a world full of threats where you have limited resources at your disposal to survive.  The screens below shows Sebastian Castellanos and his partner- Joseph investigating an mental asylum. Take a look at the images below and you’ll know that this game intends to reacquaint us with the genre.

The game is being developed by Tango Gameworks, a company founded by renowned Japanese game designer Shinji Mikami, who is the head of the studio, and popularly known as the father of the survival horror genre, best known for creating- one of the best survival horror videogame series Resident Evil. The Evil Within is being published by Bethesda, and is set to hit shelves in 2014 for the PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4.
