The game thrusts players in a plague-ridden London wherein infected throng the streets and players must utilise all at their disposal to survive. The Permadeath mechanic puts players in a different survivor each time they die, but to avoid losing all that they had obtained thus far, they must locate their previous character (now-infected) and acquire the bug-out bag, which contains first aid kits, maps, inventory and more.

The trailer shows off some gameplay, focusing on combat with both melee and ranged weapons, while the images also illustrate some of the zombies and environments in the FPS.

The story-focused add-on will be free for those who have the Season Pass for Dying Light. The developers haven’t released much info on its content but buggies are a given from the accompanying image, as well as given that the vehicle was teased in a previous released video.

Techland has also said that gamers can expect a huge world to play around in, comparing the size of the map in the expansion to be as big as all three maps combined from the main game. Expect to know and see more at Gamescom early next month.

Techland has some more DLC plans in the store for the fans which they will reveal at this year’s Gamescom.  The video below ends and offers a glimpse at Dune buggy vehicles and a huge agricultural landscape. It is yet unclear that where the upcoming DLC will take place in an entire new area or will be based in the game’s original world of Harran.

The Unreal Engine 4-powered game, priced at $9.99, takes place on the eponymous spaceship wherein its crew find themselves stuck with several hostile monsters following what initially appears to have been a mishap, with the survivors infected and therefore antagonistic as well.  Players will have to focus on stealth as they encounter hostiles, solve puzzles, uncover secrets, customise their character (there are 5 character classes) and more.

Set for a 2016 release on PC, Xbox One and PS4, the title also boasts of a VR experience as the following trailer, which consists of both liver-action and in-game footage, shows the grim and dark universe the game is set in. No sunshine and unicorns here folks. Let’s hope this is better than the atrocious shooter (The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct) released back in 2013.
