Infamous: First Light Gamescom trailer, screenshots and Battle Arenas unveiled

Sony and Sucker Punch Productions showed off a new trailer for Infamous: First Light at Gamescom in Cologne; we also have fresh screenshots and some more details on the contents of the stand-alone DLC that stars conduit Abigail “Fetch” Walker, who is responsible for Infamous: Second Son’s protagonist Delsin Rowe gaining his neon powers. Priced at $14.99/€14.99, the downloadable content will be available online from 26 August in North America and from the following day in Europe in addition to a Blu-ray version being released by PlayStation Europe on 10 September.

First Light sees Abigail imprisoned by the D.U.P at a conduit prison in Curdun Cay, wherein the organisation’s leader Augustine attempts to mould her into a lethal killer. Re-playable Battle Arenas will be located within this location, and will be used by Augustine to train conduits; this new game type will allow the main character to take on several waves of challenges to hone her skills, upgrade her powers and compete with scores on worldwide leaderboards. Furthermore, those who own a copy of Second Son can also play as Delsin in the Arenas. The trailer below showcases the arenas, as well as Abigail’s prowess when it comes to using a range of Neon powers.

Infamous: First Light gets a concrete release date

The upcoming story-based DLC for Sucker Punch’s third-person open-world action-adventure finally has a concrete released date; Infamous: First Light will be available for the PS4 on 26 August according to PSN, where its currently priced at $14.99. Starring Fetch, the standalone downloadable content delves into the female conduit’s past as she attempts to escape Curdon Cay and seek vengeance on those who wronged her. See more about it here.

Infamous: First Light Trailer, screenshots reveal new playable character in Stand-alone title

Another exciting piece of news at Sony’s E3 conference was the announcement that Sucker Punch is working on Infamous: First Light, a stand-alone DLC for their open-world action adventure; here’s the debut trailer and accompanying screenshots. Set to arrive on the PS4 this August, it stars Abigail Walker ALA Fetch who has Neon powers, and is already available for pre-order.

The content delves into her past, allowing players to find out what transformed her into the conduit with powers Delsin Rowe meets in the rope-world of Seattle in Infamous: Second Son. Expect some character-specific powers as Fetch searches for her missing brother Brent and looks for vengeance against those who wronged in new locations such as the snow-covered mountainy Curdun Cay and old ones such as Seattle.

Delsin and Seattle star in gorgeous new Infamous: Second Son screenshots

Sucker Punch’s soon-to-be-released third-person action-adventure receives a large batch of sparkling new screenshots, focusing on protagonist Delsin Rowe and the beautiful open-world city of Seattle. The images depict numerous locations around the city, with the super powered conduit utilising his abilities to move around faster; the screens indicate that we can expect varied environments, such as the beach/seaside with numerous caves in the area, some woodland, in addition to Seattle’s more urban setting filed with assorted buildings.

The screenshots do a good job of illustrating the prowess of the PS4, with excellent lighting and effects, making me want to go out and buy it in time for Infamous: Second Son’s launch on 21 March. And the barrage of media for infamous: Second Son continues with this new TV spot which is being broadcast in the SCEA region; the live-action clip shows how the antics of superpowered protagonist Delsin Rowe have wreaked havoc on the lives of the Department of Unified Protection forces. We see a bunch of DUP personnel taunted by Rowe following his trail of destruction to a checkpoint, where he proceeds to utilise his powers to devastating effect. Second Son released worldwide on 21 March exclusively for the PS4.

New infamous: Second Son TV spot + Cole’s Legacy DLC jacket images

Here is the European version of the TV spot for inFamous: Second Son, Sucker Punch’s open-world action-adventure that hits the PS4 on 21 March. The short clip, which starts off in the live-action way but then seamlessly switches to ingame footage, shows protagonist Delsin Rowe employing his powers to devastating effect in a futuristic Seattle where the Department of Unified Protection attempts to capture and control all conduits AKA dudes with superpowers.

We also have several images showing off various jacket designs that Delsin can don as part of the Cole’s Legacy DLC; the latter actually contains a series of missions that expand on the aftermath of inFamous 2, which focuses on Cole MacGrath’s antics in New Marais, and the formation of the DUP. However, you will play the downloadable content as Delsin; so put all ideas of stepping into Cole’s shoes again out of your head.

Sony has released a new TV spot for Sucker Punch’s open-world game inFamous: Second Son. The video below features lots of impressive gamplay footage where we see game’s protagonist 24 year old, Delsin Rowe manipulating smoke in various forms such as shooting smoke projectiles, fire-balls, teleporting smoke dash moves. Delsin needs to recharge his powers by absorbing the essence from objects like chimneys, car fires and smoke grenades

inFamous: Second Son French box art unveiled

In a post on the official PlayStation forum, PlayStation France Community Coordinator PixelTux unveiled the final French cover art for inFamous: Second Son, Sucker Punch’s open-world third-person action-adventure. As far as covers go it’s pretty standard but vibrant, with protagonist Delsin Rowe striking a pose with his smoke-based powers, while the back jacket has three screenshots from the game showcasing its visual fidelity. inFamous: Second Son reportedly requires a 24GB installation for one to play the PS4-exclusive title, which releases on 21 March for the console.
