inXile Entertainment’s upcoming post-apocalyptic RPG Wasteland 2 has received a new video narrated by General Vargas, giving us some useful tips on how to survive the harsh and unforgiving world of Wasteland 2. First off the video showcases character creation and teaches us how one can allocate attribute and skill points to create a best possible team of rangers. Some of the skills were also outlined in the video such as heavy weapons, field medic, brawling, weapon smith or surgeon

Furthermore the video showcases two different set-ups where the first team of ranger fights off robots of Damonta and didn’t survive, however in the second scenario the squad members were equipped with right kind of weapons and gadgets which changed the course of the battle. The video also shows how you can use environment at your advantage. For instance vantage point will give better accuracy to the ranger. And finally you can even reprogram robots to join your squad of rangers and fight on your side.

Wasteland 2 will be released for the PC on 19^th September. Watch the video below.

How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition launches on Xbox One, PS4 this Fall

505 games and Eko Software are bringing their zombie survival action title to the Xbox One and PS4 via Xbox Live and PSN this Fall in the form of How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition. This version of the game not only contains the original version of How to Survive, which launched on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 last year, but also includes several DLCs which are detailed below:

“• Heat Wave DLC to equip the 3 original playable characters with fireproof suits and teach them the ability to craft incendiary ammo.

• Kovac’s way DLC, which introduces an additional difficulty level to the game with new and demanding gameplay conditions.

• Hello, My name is Nina DLC. Presenting an additional character with the ability to craft flamethrowers and advanced chainsaws.

• “El Diablo” Islands DLC where players will discover new islands, meet new characters and face unpredictable threats.

• One Shot Escape DLC. Allowing players to roam the islands on a highly randomized scenario trying to find and repair an escape vehicle.

• Barricade! DLC. Introduces a new game mode where players will try to protect survivors as long as they can, setting traps and barricades.”

Wasteland 2 to officially release on 19 September

After inXile Entertainment recently stated that they were pushing back the release of their post-apocalyptic tactical RPG, we now have official word on the expected release date of Wasteland 2; the powers-that-be have said that we can await its launch on the PC, Mac and Linux on 19 September. This was revealed in a tweet by Brian Fargo, the founder of inXile.

So pack your supplies, and don’t forget your anti-radiation meds, clean water and boots for walking, cause you will probably need all of them once Wasteland 2 launches next month.

Mars is your Destiny in latest gameplay trailer from Bungie + new screenshots showcase armour, environments and combat

Next on the list for today is this new trailer for Destiny illustrating the locales and combat on the planet Mars, in addition to a ton of screenshots for the online-oriented FPS. The images below show off varied environments during the day as well as night, including some desert areas as well as urban ones wherein nature flourishes. We also see guardians engaging in multiplayer competitive combat with each other in the Crucible; you can learn more about that in the previous trailer.

The clip below meanwhile focuses on the red planet, and the battle between the guardians and the Cabal who have infested Mars. A large metropolis was once situated on the surface, but now all that remains are lost ruins beneath the dunes, which players will be able to explore.

Destiny First Expansion announcement accompanies Competitive Multiplayer Trailer

Bungie has revealed that the first expansion for yet-to-be released Destiny is called “The Dark Below”, and that it will release in December; accompanying this bit of news is a new trailer for the online-focused FPS showcasing its competitive multiplayer in the Crucible. The first major DLC mentioned above takes place in the depths of the moon, wherein players must face the army of a dark god after an ancient tomb is unsealed.

Meanwhile, the video delves into the various modes of competitive action, such as Skirmish: defeat enemies and revive teammates, Rumble: free-for-all AKA kill everyone else, Salvage: Acquire relics, kill enemies and revive teammates, Clash: all-out team battles, Combined Arms: team warfare with vehicles, Control: capture areas to increase kill points, and Iron Banner wherein one can earn great loot.

Wasteland 2 probably delayed to September

A bit of sore news for PC gamers looking forward to some time with Wasteland 2; inXile Entertainment in its latest Kickstarter update has said that the tactical RPG is “pretty likely” to be delayed into the first half of September, to allow time for “fulfillment of the physical goods and discs”.

The game was initially scheduled to launch in October 2013, and then was postponed to August 2014. Sorry for the bad news folks, but maybe the screenshot below will help ease some of the pain.

Tons of images illustrate Destiny’s PlayStation-exclusive content

Next on today’s list is this plethora of Destiny images showcasing the exclusive content for PlayStation owners who purchase Bungie’s upcoming MMO shooter for their platform. The screens illustrate the assorted armaments, armour and spaceships that will be available only for PlayStation at least until Fall 2015; this includes a three-player cooperative Strike called Dust Palace in which players and friends track down a Cabal extraction in the eponymous location on Mars and battle the Psion Flayers.

Furthermore, there’s the Crucible arena Exodus Blue, set on the titular vessel, which allows for some fast-paced competitive multiplayer gameplay. Find out more about Destiny by perusing our previous articles.

Bungie’s Destiny beta date set, Special Editions, New Trailer

Activision has announced that Destiny’s beta will begin on 17th July for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 owners at 10:00 am PDT. While the Xbox One and Xbox 360 players have to wait until 23th July to part take in action. You need to pre-order the game to access and it will run until 27^th July which means PlayStation users will have 8 days of beta as compared to Xbox One’ 4 days. The beta will be down for maintenance on 21 to 22^nd July.

Most Notably, Bungie has announced 3 sets of Destiny‘s Collector Edition

The Ghost Edition will include

Limited Edition Steel Book Case and Game discs
Ghost Replica which has light and sensors with the voice recording of Game of Throne’s Peter Dinklage who voices the Ghost, a companion which follows players throughout the game.
Letter of Introduction
Golden Age Relics which includes a pack of stickers, patches, and two chrome sliders.
Some of the in game content featuring unique ghost case, exclusive Player emblem, exclusive space ship skins and Destiny’s Expansion pass which offers two expansion packs The Dark Below and House of the Wolves

Limited Edition:

It is packed will everything which is available in the Ghost Edition, excluding letter of introduction and Golden Age Relics and Ghost Replica.

New Destiny screenshot shows Beta location

Bungie has tweeted a single screenshot showing off a location they say players will traverse in the upcoming Beta for Destiny, their upcoming MMOFPS for the Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4. The Beta is expected to be accessible for PS3 and PS4 owners from 17 July, and for the other consoles shortly after. The image shows a refinery-like installation in a sandy desert-like environment, with some speculating this to be a site on Earth. Deep Down beta details expected in July

Capcom has released a new screenshot for Deep Down, showing a new armor set with the previously seen dungeon gateway in the background. The game’s producer Kazunori Sugiura mentioned on the game’s official Facebook page that details on the public beta test are expected to arrive in July. He also apologized for the lack of news in June as he is in the process of setting up policies for the beta test. Check out the screenshot below which does a good job in illustrating how appearance of the dungeon will change based on the emotion of “anger.”
