Saints Row IV: The Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition costs a Million Bucks

While we already were informed about the Game of the Generation and the Super Dangerous Wub Wub special editions of Saints Row IV, Deep Silver have decide to go a step further and boldly go where no developer has gone before by announcing the Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition of the game, which supposedly will set you back by a cool million bucks – you read that right, this dangerous edition to your wallet costs $1,000,000.

The pack is said to contain the following:

• The Commander in Chief Edition

• A full-sized replica Dubstep Gun

• A full day of spy training

• A trip to space with Virgin Galactic

• One year’s membership of E25 Super Car Club and a Lamborghini Gallardo to make it worthwhile

• Plastic Surgery of the purchaser’s choice

• A shopping spree with a personal shopper to create the ultimate Planet Saints capsule wardrobe

• 7 nights for two at The Jefferson Hotel in Washington

• Hostage rescue experience

• A brand new Toyota Prius and insurance to give something back to the environment

• 7 nights stay in the Top Royal Suite at the Burj-al-arab with flights for two

Am not sure if this is really legit, or just the studios way of commentary on the utility/waste of numerous purportedly special editions that seem to be popping up for every game. Any millionaire gamers out there ready to test this? Saints Row IV hits stores on 20 August in North and Latin America and 23 August everywhere else.

Volition have issued the first in a series of developer diaries providing viewers with an exclusive look behind the scenes of the creation of Saints Row IV, the fourth game in the open-word third-person action franchise. Senior Producer Jim Boone talks about how the series always stood out from other games in the genre, particular due to its crazy brand of humour, over-the-top action and freedom within the game world.

Creative Director Steve Jaros and Lighting Lead Chris Claflin expand on the huge open playground filled with silly stuff to do and see, to ensure players experience what most games today have forgotten: the fun factor. Saints Row IV: Watch all the insane Hail to the Chief trailers here

Deep Silver issued a series of short clips for Saints Row IV, showing off some of the madness and mayhem that their open-world action game entails, and we have all the four Hail to the Chief trailers below for your viewing pleasure. The first one is titled Saints Force One, and features the main character doing a jig in a top hat and underwear after letting fly an alien enemy using telekinesis (Insanity indeed!).

The next clip is called Animal Protection Act and depicts the protagonist donning a giant cat costume and wreaking mayhem throughout the city.

The third one is titled Weapon of Mass Abduction, and it shows a female character employing a gun to beam up a truck idling in her parking spot.

The final video is called The President Can, and it shows the protagonist engaged in an interesting take on the popular game of bowling, but with bunch of people dressed as pins, and a gun being used instead of a bowling ball.

Saints Row IV Game of the Generation Edition announced

Deep Silver have announced a comprehensive limited version of Saints Row IV; titled the Game of the Generation Edition, it will set you back by around $129.99 but contains tons of goodies. First off, it comes in a light-up rotating display case with an individually-numbered plaque and a Top Shelf” velvet protective pouch for the case. This also includes the content of the Super Dangerous Wub Wub edition, such as the 12-inch Dubstep gun weapon replica with laser and sound, the 8-inch Johnny Gat Memorial Statue and the pocket-sized Dubstep Doomsday Button. Only 5,000 copies of this are being made, so stocks are limited and you may just want to hurry and reserve your copy today.

Those who purchase either edition gain access to the Commander in Chief pre-order in-game bonus items, including a Screaming Eagle jet, the Uncle Sam Suit and the ‘Merica gun (LOL). Deep Silver’s open-world action game Saints Row IV is now gold, which means that all’s well for its scheduled release next month on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Furthermore, the publisher has announced that gamers can now pre-order the season pass granting access to upcoming DLC for the Volition title for $9.99/€ 9,99/£7.99 at participating retailers; the add-on content available via the Pass would retail for $15.

For the aforementioned price, players can get their hands on the exclusive “Rectifier” anal probe weapon, as well as two mission packs one of which is the Director’s Cut of “Enter the Dominatrix” downloadable content; the second mission will be releases later this year. We think this is definitely worth the cost, but don’t take us on our word; check out this crazy trailer and you will get a solid idea of the over-the-top experience that is in store for you!

Shortly after revealing that Johnny Gat would be back in the upcoming fourth instalment of the Saints Row series, Deep Silver have now issued a trailer celebrating the same, and wouldn’t you expect it, it starts off with a nude Johnny single-handedly dispatching several alien scum before meeting up with the protagonist. And of course, Gats subsequently goes on a rampage and kills everything (almost) that he sees moving with his typical stylish flair. Johnny Gat and Daniel Dae Kim return in Saints Row IV

Long-running fans of the Saints Row franchise will be pleased to hear that Johnny Gat – a character in all the previous games in the open-world action series – will be back in Saints Row IV, and will again be voiced by Daniel Dae Kim (known for his role as Jin Kwon in Lost). This was confirmed by an official tweet in which the following piece of art depicting the outspoken character was released.

This means that we can add one more impressive name to the already lengthy and imposing roster of stars lending their vocal talents to the game; publisher Deep Silver previously confirmed that the cast would include Neil Patrick Harris, Terry Crews, Nolan North and several others. Prepare for some fun wild times when Saints Row IV releases on 20 August in North America on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

In USA tomorrow is Independence day and to celebrate the occasion, Deep Sliver has released a new trailer for their upcoming over-the-top action, open-world game Saint Row 4. The trailer below showoff the games protagonist, who is former head of the Third saints, has become the president of United States of America, battling with an alien race called Zen, who have invaded the earth. There’s also spaceship combat, mech-combat, text playing RPG sequence and lot of other crazy things.

Deep Silver has confirmed that Saints Row 4 will be released on 20 August in the US and 23 August in Europe. Watch the trailer below

Saints Row IV 10-minute E3 gameplay footage screams mayhem, over-the-top action

Volition has released a ten-minute long video of Saints Row IV, showcasing footage of the open-world third-person action game that was shown in the E3 demo. Senior Producer Jim Boone starts off the clip by showing how the leader of the Saints is now the President of the United States, accompanied by Ben King as the Chief of Staff, and is not doing so well in the polls, when an alien invasion commences starting at the White House. The main character subsequently proceeds to the Oval Office to secure some weaponry, even as several of his allies are beamed up into spaceships by the aliens.

The player fights his way through to the south Portico, where he enters a huge turret to shoot down some alien ships, but is unable to stop the Washington Monument from being severely damaged. He then enters a downed battleship and engages in a brawl with the enemy, but soon learns that his opponent has powers like teleportation and telekinesis, tilting the battle in the latter’s scale. The video then jumps forwards to a virtual version of Steelport wherein the player has obtained superpowers, and we get see displays of some spectacular moves such as Death from Above, super speed, Buff (which sets nearby enemies as well as the players weapons rounds on fire) and Stomp that sends out a concussive blast.

We also get a look at some of the weapons from the huge arsenal in the game, such as the Soakmaster/Burst Rifle and the Singularity Gun/Black Hole Launcher, which does just what it says, as well as the Laser Razor/Energy Sword, which allows for some nice slicing and dicing action. Boone also introduces Clusters, which can be collected across the city and used to upgrade the protagonist’s abilities. Side activities tied in with our hero’s newfound superpowers include Blazing, which is basically a speed run while trying to avoid flames in your path. Another fascinating new activity is Mind Over Murder by Professor Genki, wherein players must use Telekinesis to toss certain objects/individuals into specified target areas. Saints Row IV releases on 20 August on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Deep Silver has issued a new video for its over the top open-world third-person action game Saints Row IV, dubbed as War for Humanity. The latest trailer shows the alien race called Zin broadcasting a message to the citizens of United States and it also features the entire cast of the game.. staring the President of the United States (who has superpowers), Pierce Washington, Kinzie Kensington, Shaundi ….and Shaundi, Asha Odekar, Benjamin Mother F**ing King and Keith David. Watch the new dramatically dramatic trailer of one of the most entertainingly over-the-top games.
