Glorious new Risen 3: Titan Lords Screenshots are here to brighten your weekend

A multitude of screenshots from Risen 3: Titan Lords are here to save your weekend! The ingame images showcase the environment during the day and night, illustrate melee combat as well as the protagonist’s magic abilities used against assorted opponents, including skeletal warriors.

We also see the main character in different types of clothing and armour, while one of the images show you looking upon a dead/unconscious character lying on the floor inside a house.

New Risen 3 Images introduce Dragon Snapper, Jungle Spider

Today we have a couple of new images showing off some of the creatures the main character will have to face in Risen 3: Titan Lords, Piranha Bytes and Deep Silver’s multiplatform fantasy action RPG. The Dragon Snapper is a nimble, tenacious and fast beast, which can use its teeth and claws to vicious effect, especially considering these friendly-looking dudes hunt in groups. Meanwhile, the two-to-three-metre tall Great jungle spider typically lives in caves, and are quick to chase after an enemy, especially if the latter is smaller than them.

Risen 3: Titan Lords gets a new trailer; main features announced

After the trickle of media over the past few weeks, Piranha Bytes and Deep Silver’s upcoming multiplatform fantasy action RPG now gets a new trailer to mark the announcement of its release date; Risen 3: Titan Lords will launch on 12 August in North America and 15 August in Europe for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

The CGI trailer shows the armoured protagonist sneaking up on a skeletal sorcerer amidst some ruins in a dark forest, and using various means such as magic and his sword to take it down; of course, making things difficult are a pack of summoned hellhounds, whom you may remember from the teaser trailer.

The developers have also expanded on the key features of their game, which boasts of diverse locations to explore (run, walk or swim!) including small medieval-style towns, dark mines and the supernatural shadow world; three distinct guilds to join, each of which offer unique skills, equipment and quests; an all-new combat system with fresh animations, and finally, several crystal magic-based abilities to tinker with, including elements like lightning, fire and ice.

Risen 3: Titan Lords Box Art Unveiled

Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes have unveiled the official cover art for Risen 3: Titan Lords, their upcoming action RPG slated for release on 15 August on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. The box art shows the hero wielding a sword against a serpentine-like creature, with what appears to be the Mage sanctuary on Taranis, AKA the Island of Thunder in the background. Meet Risen 3: Titan Lords’ Hellhound – the Canine of your Nightmares

Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes have revealed a bit more information about yet another creature players will encounter in the upcoming fantasy RPG; the Hellhound isn’t a sweet amiable canine companion like that in Fable 2, but instead makes for a relentless adversary as seen in the recent trailer. Weighing in at around 80 pounds with glowing obsidian eyes, traits like excellent hearing and a heightened sense of smell makes it a fearsome hunter. Furthermore, you are likely to encounter the Hellhound in packs, which means that they can make quick work of an unaware opponent. Risen 3: Titan Lords new Screenshot and Concept Art

Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes’s upcoming action RPG gets a media update with new screenshot and artwork from Risen 3: Titan Lords. The screenshot shows the player swimming near a beach, while the other image is of the Lava Golem, a three-metre tall creature of great strength that can be extremely hazardous to its opponent’s health.

The golem uses his powerful fists as well as a ramming attack against enemies, requiring one to be agile and fast to keep from getting pulverised. The game is currently scheduled for release on 15 August on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Although no gameplay footage has been issued yet, you can browse through some previously released media here.

Risen 3: Titan Lords cinematic trailer

And here we have the first trailer for the next instalment in Piranha Bytes’ RPG franchise. The cinematic trailer is unfortunately all CGI, showing an armoured sword-wielding character battle a houndlike creature with blade and rock. After the previous game in the series focused on pirate-themed antics, the upcoming Risen 3: Titan Lords appears to be returning to its fantasy-oriented roots, with the lot revolving around a young warrior’s quest to recover his stolen soul.

The game is currently on track for release this August on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, though he lack of gameplay footage does not augur well for a timely release. However, you can check out some ingame screenshots which accompanied Titan Lords’ announcement right here.

Risen 3: Titan Lords Officially Announced, set for launch in August for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3

Piranha Bytes has lifted the lid on its upcoming RPG, Risen 3: Titan Fall, currently scheduled for release in August for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 . According to the press release “Risen 3: Titan Lords “pulls the player in to a handcrafted role-playing world full of rugged charm where every decision changes the course of the story.” The upcoming RPG promises to offer class RPG experience

According to Bjoern Pankratz, Project Lead at Piranha Bytes: “Like a carpenter with a hand-crafted piece of furniture, we put together the story, the characters and the landscape – making it all fit together so that the player has the possibility to discover an entire universe,” says Bjoern Pankratz, Project Lead at Piranha Bytes. “Exploration is the key to our game.”

Here’s the game synopsis:

The world of Risen 3 is abandoned by all gods and suffers from the Titan Wars when a new threat rises from the soil. A young warrior is attacked from the shadows and deprived of his soul. He sets off to reclaim what is lost amidst the darkness that is spreading throughout the world.

The banned Mages could be powerful allies on his quest. To get their help, he needs to find the Mage sanctuary on Taranis, also known as the Island of Thunder. Protected by the Guardians, the Mages search the mines of Taranis for crystals loaded with magic energy. Will the player join the Guardians to get in contact with the Mages? Or will he choose one of the other guilds in Risen 3 to reach his goals?

German Gaming Magazine Unveils Risen 3: Titan Lords, First Screenshots Leaked

The latest entry in the Risen series, Risen 3: Titan Lords has been revealed by the German Gaming Magazine PC Games. Piranha Byte’s previous game called Risen 2: Dark Waters, was released in 2012, set in the fictional world of pirates. However the upcoming RPG features a traditional fantasy setting which is similar to that of the first game in the series, Risen.

Not much has not yet been revealed, Risen 3: Titan Lords will be developed by Piranha Bytes and will be published by Deep Sliver. For more on Risen 3: Titan Lords we’ll keep you posted as more details begin to roll out. But you can take a look at the first screenshots and concept art that were leaked online.

The game is rumored to launch later this year for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3
