Coatsink Software has posted the first screenshots and details of its 2.5D sidescrolling adventure Shu, which is currently being developed for the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, with an estimated release window of mid-2015.

The screenshots showcase a beautiful vibrant world wherein the titular character journeys through various locales, including forests, grasslands and mountains, comes upon a group of villagers stranded due to a deadly storm, and attempts to lead them to safety while trying to evade the clutches of the storm.

Each of the group’s members has unique abilities which can be of great use to the player, though you must take care that the storm doesn’t snatch your companions away.

Kitfox Games has announced that its Kickstarter-backed action RPG Moon Hunters will be unleashed upon the PS4 and PS Vita in late 2015, and have provided a new trailer to mark the news. The game takes place in ancient Mesopotamia with a fantastical twist as the player must find out why the powerful Moon has disappeared.

This requires traversal of a realm that is unique and distinctive as the world is randomly generated and defeat various monsters, and you can go at it alone or bring upto three other players along for the journey. While said to be a short game of upto three hours for a single playthrough, unlocking all available character classes, tribes and biomes will require multiple visits. The trailer shows off the combat, exploration, dialogue, map traversal, the reputation system and more.

After the handful of screenshots in July, we now finally have our first look at Tiny Troopers Joint Ops in action via this debut trailer sent forth by Wired Productions. Set to make its appearance on the PS3, PS4 and PS Vita, the arcade shooter boasts of Cross Save and Cross Play support, and features nearly 60 missions to complete which should take you around seven hours to do so.

In addition to improved visuals the twin stick shooter also has a reworked control scheme for PS platforms; another important point distinguishing the upcoming console versions of the game from the previous mobile iterations is that completing missions nets you in game command points which can be used to enhanced your soldiers arsenal, swap outfits and more. Enjoy!

Ska Studios is working on a new game, a stylish 2D sidescrolling action platformer RPG called Salt and Sanctuary to be precise, and it is an exclusive for the PS4 and PS Vita. Featuring visceral combat and varied characters builds, the game puts you in the shoes of a sailor stranded on a strange island stricken with war, with numerous battles with assorted creatures to occupy your time between the sanctuaries littered across the location.

The trailer shows off the gameplay, which allows for one-handed as well as two-handed combat, and also includes magic (staffs), ranged attacks (bows, throwing knives), other melee weapons and shields. Your equipment affects the speed of movement as well as stamina regeneration, so a bit of tactical thought is necessary. The clip indicates that one can expect varied enemies, including some boss fights.

Sony unveiled during its conference at Gamescom a trailer for Volume, a third-person stealth game from Mike Bithell that will arrive on the PS4 and PS Vita in 2015, with the PC and Mac versions following a month after the console release. The game boasts of a unique stylised appearance, and the video below indicates that players will rely on cover for evading enemies’ cones of vision (similar to Metal Gear Solid).

Furthermore, the environment appears to be malleable, and it seems that one can also send decoys to distract opponents while sneaking across to their destination. The intro suggests that the game is a scifi interpretation of Robin Hood revolving around a character called Robert Locksley. The visuals are appealing and the sound is also quite good, which coupled with the fact that this if from the same developer who created puzzler-platformer Thomas Was Alone, raises my expectations.

Visiontrick Media has issued the following trailer to showcase some gameplay from Pavilion, giving people an extended look at what was shown of the isometric puzzler at the E3 PlayStation booth. Set to arrive on the PS4 and PS Vita later this year, the title is a unique fourth-person puzzle adventure wherein players need to observe the main characters action and behaviour, as well as the environmental layout and interactive objects to figure out how these intermingle to produce desired reactions/results.

The game is termed “fourth person” as you can’t directly control the main character, but rather interact with the environment to guide and influence him. The premise, art style and gameplay have certainly piqued our interest; this is definitely one to keep on your radar.

MechRunner is an arcade action “runner” by Spark Plug Games which will be heading to the PS4 and PS Vita this Summer; here is its key art and some screenshots showcasing the fast-paced combat. Players will take control of the colossal XP-41 mech, which can transform between tank and robot on the fly, and fight against the evil war machines of the O.S.O.

MechRunner boasts of a large arsenal allowing for mucho customisation, sword combat, unlockable upgrades, skins and achievements, numerous enemies including bosses to face and defeat, as well as unique environments and procedurally generated levels, enhancing its replayability. The game is titled MechRunner since it features constant on-the-move action, as your surmount obstacles across varied paths and tackle various enemies with missiles and cannons in the tank mode, or slice through them with swords and guns as the mech. Upgrades and new weapons are acquired by purchasing them with energy obtained by eliminating enemy mechs.
