Mother of Myth Launch Trailer

Playnery’s 3D action-RPG has launched in New Zealand, and the following trailer has been issued to celebrate the occasion. Mother of Myth boasts of more than 40 dungeons to explore during your quest from Elysium to rescue the nymph Galatea; during your journey you will come across various monsters and bosses such as the Chimera and Polyphemus, the Cyclops of legend, to battle and annihilate.

The game also allows you to customise your character by acquiring, crafting and allocating various gear and treasures. Furthermore, there are numerous deity card in the game; these can bestow upon you essence of powers of legendary characters like Zeus, Poseidon, Hercules and Athena, thereby aiding you in defeating your opponents. Mother of Myth Deity Cards include skills from Achilles, Athena, Artemis and Hercules

Playnery has released several new images illustrating several deity skill cards, which players can procure to harness their powers and utilise them to devastate their opponents in the multiplatform action-RPG. The Heel of Achilles – based upon the nearly invulnerable hero –enhances both attack power and critical chance though it diminishes max health. Talaria of Hermes – based on the titular Olympian god messenger of the gods – grants one heightened movement speed.

Protection of Athena improves the player’s defense power with Aegis, which is the goddess of wisdom and justice’s shield adorned with Medusa’s head. Wilderness of Artemis (goddess of the hunt and daughter of Zeus) increases critical chance, while the Strength of Hercules from the legendary and popular hero enhances attack power. Darkness of Erebus from the primordial deity creates an explosion of darkness which temporarily disables an enemy’s attack.

Feud of Eris confuses one’s opponents and turns them against each other for a short time; every apt given that the skill is from the goddess of strife. Finally, Fear of Phobos weakens the enemies’ defense, since the former is the personification of fear. Armour Concept Art for Multiplatform Action-RPG Mother of Myth

Today we have a few new images from Playnery’s Mother of Myth, showcasing some of the numerous armour types that players can choose from in the multiplatform action-RPG being developed with the Bordeaux game engine. The developers have said that armour, shields, helmets and weapons can be crafted and sold, allowing for one to choose exactly that they need to wield and don to face their enemies, including mythological beasts, while they traverse around 17 story-driven dungeons.

As the images indicate, the game is inspired by Greek and Roman mythology, and revolves around the protagonist learning how to harness the power of spirits and utilise them in real-time tactical combat in the midst of a war between the ancient gods and the titans. Mother of Myth is aimed at the PC (via web browsers), tablets and smartphones; no release date has been finalised yet, but we will inform you when we know more.
