NetherRelam Studios is getting the marketing ball rolling with the launch trailer for Mortal Kombat X. The launch trailer below features a hit track from the famous band called “Chop Suey”. We also get to see numerous returning as well as new characters. Mortal Kombat X is just over a week away from its launch, until then, check out the trailer below which will whet your appetite for the full game which is set to launch on 14^th April for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3.

NetherRealms Studios has issued yet another video for their upcoming brawler Mortal Kombat X, this time showcasing the pre-order exclusive combatant Goro. The four-armed fighter has all of his signature moves such as ground stomp, spitting fireballs, grabbing an opponent with one set of arms while unleashing chest bash attack with another. His X-ray moves are brutal as shown in the trailer below where he uses his multi arms to hold the fighter and at the same time ripping them in half.

Those who per-order Mortal Kombat X will get to play as Goro, who in the video is described as “half-man and half-dragon but he’s pure brute force” Mortal Kombat X launches on April 14 for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3

Lui Kang returns to Mortal Kombat X

Another iconic Mortal Kombat fighter Lui Kang is set to return to Mortal Kombat X. Today, Warner Bros. has confirmed via new trailer that Lui Kang will be a part of Kombat Pack which includes new characters such as Predator, fan-favourite Lui Kang, Tanya, Tremor who appeared in Mortal Kombat: Special Forces and the killer of Friday the 13^thmovie – Jason Voorhees. The pack also includes a couple of cool-looking skins for each character. Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack is included in the game’s collector’s edition along with the limited and premium edition of the game. However if you plan to get the standard edition of Mortal Kombat X, it will cost you fair bit of money to get the aforementioned playable characters and cool-looking skins.

Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack is priced at $30.00 which is half the price of the game itself. Mortal Kombat X launches on 14 April for the PC, Xbox One and PS4. While PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will release sometime in summer.

Xbox achievements reveals new Character for Mortal Kombat X

Some fresh media has emerged via Xbox Achievement for Mortal Kombat X in form of handful of screenshots, showcasing some of the yet-to-be announced combatants, including gunslinger Erron Black. There’s also a glimpse of what it appears to be Erron Black Brutality where a magnum bullet is being fired right into Sonya’s face. The images also depicts Baraka, Jax doing his signature ground pound move and new outfits for Shinnok and Cassie Cage.

Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack with Jason Voorhees revealed + Xbox 360, PS3 versions delayed

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that the Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack, priced at $29.99/£24.99, will include four playable characters, one of whom is none other than Jason Voorhees.

The latter is famous/infamous for his appearance as the terrifying mask-wearing killer in the Friday the 13^th movie series; the aforementioned pack will also contain the Ronin Kenshi, Samurai Shinnok and Jingu Kitana character skins, in addition to a skin pack for the four playable characters. Those who purchase the Kombat Pack will net early access to upcoming DLCs for the fighting game, before the content is sold separately.

Another bit of news for console owners is that it appears that the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Mortal Kombat X will be delayed; the other versions are still expected to launch on 14 April. A quick search on Amazon throws up a 30 June release date for the last-gen console versions, though my guess is that is likely a placeholder and we can probably expect the game to arrive for the Xbox 360 and PS3 sometime this Summer.

Mortal Kombat X Opening cinematic revealed

After the release of the Cage Family trailer that we saw last week, NetherRealm Studios has released Mortal Kombat X first story trailer, showcasing the opening QTE cinematic of the game. We get to see some of the iconic characters of the long-running Mortal Kombat series.

Scorpion shoots his harpoon-like Kunai weapon through the chopper’s window, right into the face of the pilot and pulling him out from the cockpit. Then he enters the helicopter killing few of the soldiers before he fights Johnny Cage. Check out the trailer below and let us know in the comments are excited about the upcoming Mortal Kombat X?

Mortal Kombat X will feature over 100 Brutalities, story trailer reveals new characters

NetherRealm Studios revealed that Mortal Kombat X will feature Brutalities. Yes, you heard it right, Brutalities are back and there are more than 100 Brutalities that will be featured in the game. Another video has just been released showcasing bits of the story campaign which takes place 25 years after 2011’s Mortal Kombat and it also reveals new combatants.

Outworld has become a greater threat and the new fighters to battle Mileena’s rebel army are Jax’s daughter Jacqueline Briggs, Kenshi’s son Takashi Takeda and Kung Jin who is a descendant of Kung Lao.

Check out Kitana’s fighting Variations in New Mortal Kombat X video

NetherRealm Studios have posted a new video for Mortal Kombat X, revealing the variants of Kitana, a warrior ninja princess and one of the popular fighter of the Mortal Kombat Series. In the trailer below, Quality Assurance Analyst Steve Brownback showcases Kitana’s three fighting variations.

Royal Storm fighting variation is for the players who like defensive playstyle, where you can use her deadly fans as projectiles to attack from distance.

Assassin variation is more of an offensive fighting style, get close to your opponent with her speed dash and use the fan blades to cut the challenger, she can also increase the damage by sharpening her fan blades.

Mournful is the best fighting style in by opinion as it allow you to use her best friend Jade’s staff and boomerang, you can perform various moves which are not featured in the aforementioned variations.

New Mortal Kombat X video illustrates Faction Wars

NetherRealm Studios and Warner Brothers – Mortal Kombat X is going to be a pretty solid single-player game, however the multiplayer aspect of the game is going to be its real strength. Mortal Kombat X has a new feature called Faction Wars which combines single and multiplayer sides of the game. The new online mode will allow the players to join one of five below mentioned factions. Every week there is going to be a faction war and a winner will be declared at the end of the week. Check out the video below which explains how this feature will connect players from all over the world.

Lin Kuei – Team Sub-Zero
White Lotus – Liu Kang, Raiden and related to the order of light
Special Forces – Jax, Sonya and other operatives
Black Dragon – Kano and those who oppose the Special Forces
