Wolfenstein: The New Order Screenshots

Bethesda has released a set of new screenshots of upcoming first-person shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order. The game is set in an alternate universe in 1960 where players will assume the role of B.J. Blazkowicz (protagonist of the 2009 Wolfenstein scifi FPS by Raven Software) tasked to initiate an counter-attack in Europe where Nazis have won WWII. The game is being developed by MachineGames, and slated to launch in 2014 for the PC, Xbox 360, PS3 as well as on the next-generation consoles.

The screens below are the part of a preview over on The Escapist, showcases mutated super soldiers in an asylum, dual-wielding shooting, Nazi Tank and highly crafted environments which are weaved together to provide immersive fast-paced gaming experience.

MachineGames has released three high-resolution wallpapers of Wolfenstein: The New Order, their upcoming id Tech 5-based multiplatform FPS based on the classic shooter franchise. The game takes place in Europe as Nazi forces have emerged as the victors of World War II, and players assume the role of Captain B.J. Blazkowicz initiating a counter-attack against this seemingly unstoppable war machine of super soldiers, robots and advanced tech to prevent them from persisting with their plans of global dominance.

Bethesda will be publishing the game for the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4 in December 2013; view our previous articles for gameplay footage, screenshots and concept art.

Bethesda has issued the E3 trailer for Wolfenstein: The New Order, depicting how things have gone awry in this alternate timeline wherein the Nazis emerged victorious in World War II and subsequently conquered the world. However, hope is not lost as long as all-American hero B.J. Blazkowicz is alive and kicking, and he employs an arsenal of weapons, including several interesting ones procured from enemy itself, to throw a wrench in the Nazi war machine.

Bethesda have unleashed a large batch of images – consisting of both screenshots and some weapon and vehicle renders – as well as bits of gameplay footage via various previews of Wolfenstein: The New Order, the reboot of the cult hit FPS which pits our hero B.J. Blazkowicz against the Nazi army. The images showcase some pretty appealing visuals, thanks to the capability of id Software’s id Tech 5 engine, in this multiplatform title by MachineGames, which arrives in Q4 2013 on the PC, Xbox 360, PS3 as well as Xbox One and PS4.

Bethesda Softworks has released a nicely-sized collection of images – both screens and concept artwork – of their alternate history first-person shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order, which is being developed for the PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and next-gen consoles. Players will step into the shoes of all-American war hero B.J. Blazkowicz as the vanguard attempting to perpetrate a counter-attack in the 1960’s in Europe against the evil Nazi regime, who won World War II and subsequently conquered the world.

The game utilises id Software’s id Tech 5 engine, thereby effectively rendering the hulking enemy robots, elite shock troops and Nazi super soldiers in appropriate detail. To ensure success in your mission to decimate the Nazi war machine, access to a vast arsenal is guaranteed; players will also infiltrate secret research facilities and weapon stashes to upgrade their weapons and fully utilise the advanced Nazi technology against their creators. Developer MachineGames has promised varied environments ranging from explorable underwater locations, mountain-top car chases, and heavily-guarded facilities.
