Lost Planet 3: Paradise Lost Trailer celebrates its launch in North America

Capcom’s third-person action title set on E.D.N. III has finally been released across North America for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, and the accompanying trailer titled Paradise Lost has been issued to mark the same. Lost Planet 3 follows the story of a Utility Rig pilot employed by Neo-Venus Construction (NEVEC) called Jim Peyton, who soon realises that he need his wits, his rig and any weapons that he can get his hands on to survive the brutal alien Akrid as well as the harsh elements. The game arrives in Europe on 30 August, with a retail PC version releasing later on 27 September in that region.

Next up is this new video of Lost Planet 3, illustrating the extreme weather conditions on E.D.N. III, and the consequent perils the player faces while traversing the harsh environment in Capcom’s upcoming shooter. Interesting titbit for fans of the series: the optimal core body temperature of a human is 37°C, while the temperature on the aforementioned frozen planet is closer to 120°C, which doesn’t really make for fun times in the snow. The video has some fun facts to divulge, such as how such hazardous elements can cause hypothermia, hallucinations and eventually death. Yep, fun times are ahead when Lost Planet 3 arrives in stores on 27 August in North America and on 30 August across Europe for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Lost Planet 3 tiered pre-order bonuses revealed

Procuring a copy of Lost Planet 3 from Steam will net the players with tiered pre-order incentives for the PC edition of the game. The more people will pre-order the game the better the bonuses will be .

The game will have three-tiered pre-oder bonuses, which are listed below and the requirement of the the first tier has already been met

Tier 1 will reward the players with Freedom Fighter’s Pack which includes Five characters and two Rig upgrades
Tier 2: Will feature above mentioned content plus three long-range weapons and two Rig upgrades
Tier 3 will contain all of the above including the copy of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition and Bionic Commando Rearmed

Lost Planet 3 releases on 27th August for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 but these rewards are exclusive to Steam customers.

Capcom has released a new trailer for its upcoming third-person shooter Lost Planet 3. The latest chapter in the Lost Planet series takes place on the frozen planet of E.D.N III, where players will assume the role of Jim Peyton as a rig pilot, who is working for Neo-Venus Construction (NEVEC), who are preparing to colonise the planet.

Lost Planet 3 promises to feature a diverse range of gamplay – both mech based and intense on-foot combat where players have to battle Akrid on the frozen planet. In the trailer, discover E.D.N III through the eyes and ears of Jim Peyton, who describes the life on E.D.N III and explain the meaning of survival.

The trailer also reveals that pre-ordering the game will net players with the Freedom Fighter DLC pack which includes five characters, each with their own unique skill set and two mech upgrades for the multiplayer mode.

Lost Planet 3 will will be released on 27 August in North America and 30th August in Europe.

Here’s a new trailer for Spark’s Lost Planet 3, a third-person shooter/first-person mech action game set on the frozen planet of E.D.N. III. The following video focuses on the multiplayer portion of the title, promising diverse loadouts which can be customised to your liking as well as equipment upgrades; we can also see items such as deployable turrets and mechs/rigs being put to good use. Capcom has sent a freshly baked batch of screenshots for Lost Planet 3, their multiplatform third-person shooter wherein players step into the shoes of Jim Peyton and battle the alien Akrid – on foot and in a rig (mechs which have drills/claws) – on the frozen planet of E.D.N. III. The title is being developed by Spark Unlimited for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, will arrives on 27 August in North America and 30 August across Europe. Capcom pushes back Lost Planet 3 to August; pre-order bonuses revealed

A bit of bad news for those waiting to kick some Akrid ass; Capcom has sneakily pushed back Lost Planet 3 to 27 August in North America and 30 August in Europe; the game was previously scheduled for release on 25 June in North America and 28 June in Europe for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. A Capcom rep reportedly informed Polygon that the delay was due to business reasons, but refused to elaborate. Lost Planet 3 takes place on the frozen planet of E.D.N. III, where gamers assume the role of rig (mech) pilot Jim Peyton employed by the Neo-Venus Construction (NEVEC) attempting to colonise the sphere.

While awaiting the game’s release, fans can choose which retailer to pre-order the title from. Procuring it from Best Buy or Amazon nets you the Assault or Punisher Packs respectively, both of which consist of three unique weapons and two rig upgrades. Meanwhile, GameStop and EBGames both have the Freedom Fighter Pack which comprises of five unique multiplayer characters and two rig upgrades.
