Kenway defies the odds in this Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Live Action Trailer

Yet another trailer makes its way through Gamescom, this time for Ubisoft’s open-world action exploration game, which is none other than Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. The video starts off with several sailors meeting their untimely demise sinking slowly into the murky depths of the cold ocean, while a fierce naval battle rages above, even as a ship slowly plummets deeper into the waters. Pirates and soldiers fight to their deaths as Edward Kenway stands atop the mast, overlooking a large-scale battle on the high seas. More on Black Flag can be found here.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified The Chase and The Interrogation Live-Action Trailers

Today we have two new live-action trailers for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified which were released over the past few days. First off is The Chase, which continues Bureau Special Agent Ennis Cole’s (played by Dominic Monaghan) tale, wherein he spots an unknown enemy and is ordered by the covert organisation to pursue it. This leads to a frantic chase sequence, though Cole discovers just a little too late who really is the predator and who the prey is.

The second video shows another of the shadowy Bureau’s agents – Carter – interrogating someone, attempting to ascertain the captive’s origin and number of accomplices, using his fists to get the prisoner to talk. 2K Games’ third-person tactical shooter, which outs players in the shoes of a Bureau agent accompanied by two squad members, launches on 20 August in North America on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

2K Games have issued the follow-up trailer to the previous live-action clip for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, in which we see how gamers votes have decided Agent Ennis Cole’s (played by Dominic Monaghan) fate. The first video saw a bereaved Cole typing out a report in the aftermath of a hostile alien encounter resulting in multiple civilian casualties and deciding if he should reach out for a gun or a bottle on his desk. 51% of fan votes via twitter resulted in him drowning his sorrows in the bottle and choosing to resign in the aftermath and loss of the first Pima Incident. However, an alarm at the end of the video signals that all may not proceed according to this plan.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified releases on 20 August in North America and 23 August in Europe on the P and current-gen consoles; keep following us for more on the game as we expect more trailers in the interim.

2K Games have releases a live-action trailer for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified with two notable features; firstly it stars Dominic Monaghan as Agent Ennis Cole (of Lost and Lord of the Rings fame) and secondly (and more importantly) it puts unto the viewer the decision of Cole’s fate. The clip starts off with Cole typing down a report regarding the first Pima Incident in 1962, wherein hostile aliens deployed a ship for the first time targeting civilians, which despite the efforts of the Bureau resulted in a notable list of civilian casualties, including his wife and son. At the end of this, Cole is faced with a choice; so tweet #GrabTheGun or #GrabTheBottle by 24 July to decide his fate.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified releases on 20 August in North America and 23 August in Europe on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Meanwhile, check out some gameplay footage showcasing tactics as well as the varied UI at these links.

Firefall full live-action video delves into MMO FPS’ plot

Red 5 Studios has released the full version of the live-action teaser of Firefall that we saw a while back, showing us a bit more about the free-to-play open-world MMO FPS’ story. The video starts off with Admiral Orestes Nostromo reminiscing and looking at an archived clip of his wife and child from a beach in Fortaleza (Brazil), when he is interrupted by subordinate bringing news about Affinite Pilgrim Entwhistle. The clip also marks the recent launch of Open Beta: Stage 1; visit their website to read more about that.

Firefall live-action teaser released; full video on 9 July

Red 5 Studios have issued a live-action video for the coming free-2-play open-world MMO shooter Firefall, teasing a full-length video on 9 July. The clip comes ahead of the final closed beta milestone on the PC scheduled on 27 June. The co-op gameplay featuring hundreds of players contains five battleframes or classes , each with several variations: Assault are the all-rounders with both offensive and defensive capabilities, the Engineer provides support and deploys defensive items such as turrets and energy barriers, the Biotech heals and revives allies but can also use lethal toxins against the enemy, Recon involves providing long-range combat support, and last but not the least is the Dreadnaught who carry heavy armour and deal copious amounts of damage via their impressive arsenal. Live-action trailer for Bungie’s Destiny is a Visual Feast

Bungie has been gracious enough to release a live-action trailer for their in-development action game Destiny, so as to whet our appetite ahead of the project’s official gameplay reveal on 10 June at Sony’s E3 conference. Directed by Jon Favreau, who helmed Iron Man 1 and 2, and narrated by actor Giancarlo Esposito (Once Upon a Time, Revolution), the clip shows the three guardians in action.
