Infamous: First Light Gamescom trailer, screenshots and Battle Arenas unveiled

Sony and Sucker Punch Productions showed off a new trailer for Infamous: First Light at Gamescom in Cologne; we also have fresh screenshots and some more details on the contents of the stand-alone DLC that stars conduit Abigail “Fetch” Walker, who is responsible for Infamous: Second Son’s protagonist Delsin Rowe gaining his neon powers. Priced at $14.99/€14.99, the downloadable content will be available online from 26 August in North America and from the following day in Europe in addition to a Blu-ray version being released by PlayStation Europe on 10 September.

First Light sees Abigail imprisoned by the D.U.P at a conduit prison in Curdun Cay, wherein the organisation’s leader Augustine attempts to mould her into a lethal killer. Re-playable Battle Arenas will be located within this location, and will be used by Augustine to train conduits; this new game type will allow the main character to take on several waves of challenges to hone her skills, upgrade her powers and compete with scores on worldwide leaderboards. Furthermore, those who own a copy of Second Son can also play as Delsin in the Arenas. The trailer below showcases the arenas, as well as Abigail’s prowess when it comes to using a range of Neon powers.

Infamous: First Light gets a concrete release date

The upcoming story-based DLC for Sucker Punch’s third-person open-world action-adventure finally has a concrete released date; Infamous: First Light will be available for the PS4 on 26 August according to PSN, where its currently priced at $14.99. Starring Fetch, the standalone downloadable content delves into the female conduit’s past as she attempts to escape Curdon Cay and seek vengeance on those who wronged her. See more about it here.

Another exciting piece of news at Sony’s E3 conference was the announcement that Sucker Punch is working on Infamous: First Light, a stand-alone DLC for their open-world action adventure; here’s the debut trailer and accompanying screenshots. Set to arrive on the PS4 this August, it stars Abigail Walker ALA Fetch who has Neon powers, and is already available for pre-order.

The content delves into her past, allowing players to find out what transformed her into the conduit with powers Delsin Rowe meets in the rope-world of Seattle in Infamous: Second Son. Expect some character-specific powers as Fetch searches for her missing brother Brent and looks for vengeance against those who wronged in new locations such as the snow-covered mountainy Curdun Cay and old ones such as Seattle.
