Gamescom: PS4 trailer of World War II-era aerial and terrain combat MMO War Thunder

Another exciting event at Sony’s Gamescom conference was the PS4 trailer of War Thunder, a free-to-play World War II-based aerial and terrain combat MMO which is already in open beta for the PC. The developers have promised more than 300 historically accurate WWII military vehicles will be accessible at its launch, with hundreds more planned in subsequent updates.

Furthermore, the Gaijin Entertainment title supports cross-platform gameplay with the PC version, so expect large-scale battles with hundreds of vehicles zooming across the map. War Thunder contains co-op, single and multiplayer modes, and will launch in November for the PS4.

Neverwinter: Fury of the Feywild screenshots depict Dragons, Elves, Environments

Cryptic Studios and Perfect World have released the first batch of teaser screenshots from Fury of the Feywild, their first add-on module for the free-to-play MMO Neverwinter. Like the base game, the upcoming content is free as well, as releases on 22 August on the PC. The images below depict some of the environments players can expect to traverse, and it seems we can expect dragons to make an appearance as well. The expansion to the RPG consists of a new campaign system, companion quality upgrades (sweet!), a drag-and-drop 3d editor as well as a new zone – Sharandar – and dungeons to explore. The campaign system is one a lot of fans are eagerly awaiting as it will permit players to fulfil in-game challenges for special rewards.

Dead Island: Epidemic Announced- an all new free-to-play MOBA for PC

Deep Silver has announced Dead Island: Epidemic, an all new free-to-play ZOMBA ( Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena) game, being developed for the PC. Dead Island: Epidemic pit three teams of players battling one another for survival while horde of Zombies are after their lives. According to the publisher, the game will ”feature all the trademark elements that are part of a Dead Island experience.”

Not much has been revealed about this game. However publishers have promised to reveal more details at Gamescom later this month. They have also told gamers to “stay tuned for more on the Dead Island universe as a whole.”

Full trailer for F2P PSN title Ace Combat Infinity

It’s been around a couple of week since the extremely brief teaser clip for Ace Combat Infinity, and therefore Namco Bandai Games and its internal Project Aces team have issued the following first full-length trailer for the first free-to-play (F2P) title in the long-running flight arcade-simulation series. The game, which arrives exclusively on the PS3 (via PSN) on 25 September, features an all new story campaign mode set in the near future as well as co-op multiplayer consisting of two teams of up to four players. PS4 Launch Title Blacklight: Retribution gets a new video

Here’s a new video by Zombie Studios discussing the development of the upcoming PS4 version of Blacklight: Retribution, a free-to-play (F2P) FPS which was released back in April 2012 on the PC. The game’s Director of Production Andy Kipling talks about the gameplay and the setting, while Art Director Brice Broaddus explains the challenges and intention of creating a world which feels somewhat realistic despite it being set in a dystopian future with significant technological advances.

Studio Director Jarred Gerritzen and Andy speak about how one of the main features is fast-paced gunplay revolving around a deep customisation system, allowing players to make and tune their weapons as well as their characters according to their own choice of playstyle. In the clip above, the developers also talk about how Sony empowers them as indie developers to create their vision. Here’s the launch trailer for Spartacus Legends, Ubisoft’s free-to-play brawler which is available now for the Xbox 360 and will be released on PS3 on a later date. In the game players will assume the role of Spartacus, Crixus or you can also create your own gladiator. There are total of eight fighting styles to choose from. It is also said the game will offers thousands of combination of weapons to the players. Wining battles will allow you to buy additional weapons and armours. The trailer below shows visceral combat, various fighting styles, plenty of blood, gore and dismemberment and decapitation. The goal is to become famous by winning battles and the top combatant will be displayed around the world on the leaderboard.

Spartacus Legends – The will of the mob trailer unleashes gladiatoral mayhem

Ubisoft, Kung Fu Factory and Starz are all ready to unleash gladiatoral mayhem on the masses in the upcoming Spartacus Legends, a free-to-play action game which arrives on 26 June on the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live, and on the PS3 at a later as yet unspecified date this Summer. The in-engine trailer below reminds us of what it takes to form and become a champion in the arena.

The game allows players to build their own Ludus; if you haven’t been watching Starz excellent Spartacus TV series or are unfamiliar with Roman history, this was where gladiators trained and hoed their skills and bodies to become perfect fighting machines. Winning nets you coin as well as fame enabling you to purchase better weapons and armour and showcase your fighters on new platfroms/arenas. The video also reminds us that we should expect plenty of blood, gore and dismemberment and decapitations on your journey to greatness and glory.

Digital Extremes has announced that its free-to-play co-op third-person shooter Warframe, released back in March for the PC, will be arriving on the PS4 as a launch title taking advantage not only of the upcoming consoles hardware capabilities, but also of the unique features that Dual Shock 4 has to offer.

As the images and video depict, players have numerous options and gameplay styles to choose from, such as going all melee with their sword – ninja-style, sticking to ranged firepower via guns, or utilising over-the-top crazy exo-armour powers. The choice is yours! Complete missions and objectives to level-up, gain new abilities, and mods for your chosen weapons, armour and starts.

New Neverwinter trailer showcases the Great Weapon Fighter class

Here’s a new trailer from Cryptic Studios’ free-to-play Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) action MMORPG Neverwinter, focusing on the Great Weapon Fighter class, wherein players can dominate their enemies with pure physical force due to their mastery of two-handed weapons and accompanying abilities.

The downside of course is the time taken to swing such heavy weapons, which means that you can’t just button-mash your way through, but will have to strike carefully. However, the notable amount of damage this class can take indicates that it would be a perfect build for tanks, given that you can also utilise skills such as Avalanche of Steel, Mighty Leap, Takedown and Slam to dish out damage and vanquish enemy forces with ease.
