Tekken Revolution DLC screenshots reveal new characters, stages, costumes and more

Namco Bandai Games has issued some screenshots focusing on the upcoming DLC for their free-to-play fighting game Tekken Revolution, which shows that players can expect new characters such as Nina Williams and Feng Wei joining the roster, as well as fresh costumes, more stages and premium effects. The downloadable content for the PS3-exclusive title arrives this September, and also boasts an all new character enhancement system adding easy accessibility for gamers new to the genre/franchise.

Deep Silver today revealed a lot more about its free-to-play zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena (ZOMBA?) title Dead Island: Epidemic, in which players are divided into three team of four and have to battle each other as well as the zombie hordes to survive and win. Continuing the trend set by the series, the game boasts of a huge crafting system where one can manufacture hundreds of weapons and items according to their own choice.

Furthermore, what sets this apart from other MOBAs (apart from the zombie theme) is that the gameplay revolves around capturing and defending set control points around the map, resulting in a more dynamic, fast-paced and tension-filled gameplay experience. The game requires players to work as a team, and therefore rewards those who do so, but doesn’t detract from the core, which is all about bashing, slashing, shooting and looting dem undead.

Gamescom: PS4 trailer of World War II-era aerial and terrain combat MMO War Thunder

Another exciting event at Sony’s Gamescom conference was the PS4 trailer of War Thunder, a free-to-play World War II-based aerial and terrain combat MMO which is already in open beta for the PC. The developers have promised more than 300 historically accurate WWII military vehicles will be accessible at its launch, with hundreds more planned in subsequent updates.

Furthermore, the Gaijin Entertainment title supports cross-platform gameplay with the PC version, so expect large-scale battles with hundreds of vehicles zooming across the map. War Thunder contains co-op, single and multiplayer modes, and will launch in November for the PS4.

Free-to-play PC-exclusive downloadable title FIFA World unveiled

EA has announced a surprise entry to their long-running FIFA football franchise in the form of FIFA World, which is a PC exclusive download-only title, built specifically in mind for football lovers in Russia and Brazil who can’t access a console with the main FIFA series. The title is set to launch in the aforementioned countries in November, but gamers can sign up for the closed Beta here right now.

FIFA World contains at least 30 officially licensed leagues – such as the Russian Football Premier League – and around 600 clubs, including several from Brazil; it will be built around Ultimate Team, thereby permitting players to craft their own dream squads with players statistics proportionate to real-world performance. The game is being developed by EA Canada to run smoothly on average spec desktops and laptops.

Neverwinter: Fury of the Feywild screenshots depict Dragons, Elves, Environments

Cryptic Studios and Perfect World have released the first batch of teaser screenshots from Fury of the Feywild, their first add-on module for the free-to-play MMO Neverwinter. Like the base game, the upcoming content is free as well, as releases on 22 August on the PC. The images below depict some of the environments players can expect to traverse, and it seems we can expect dragons to make an appearance as well. The expansion to the RPG consists of a new campaign system, companion quality upgrades (sweet!), a drag-and-drop 3d editor as well as a new zone – Sharandar – and dungeons to explore. The campaign system is one a lot of fans are eagerly awaiting as it will permit players to fulfil in-game challenges for special rewards.

It’s been around a couple of week since the extremely brief teaser clip for Ace Combat Infinity, and therefore Namco Bandai Games and its internal Project Aces team have issued the following first full-length trailer for the first free-to-play (F2P) title in the long-running flight arcade-simulation series. The game, which arrives exclusively on the PS3 (via PSN) on 25 September, features an all new story campaign mode set in the near future as well as co-op multiplayer consisting of two teams of up to four players. Firefall live-action teaser released; full video on 9 July

Red 5 Studios have issued a live-action video for the coming free-2-play open-world MMO shooter Firefall, teasing a full-length video on 9 July. The clip comes ahead of the final closed beta milestone on the PC scheduled on 27 June. The co-op gameplay featuring hundreds of players contains five battleframes or classes , each with several variations: Assault are the all-rounders with both offensive and defensive capabilities, the Engineer provides support and deploys defensive items such as turrets and energy barriers, the Biotech heals and revives allies but can also use lethal toxins against the enemy, Recon involves providing long-range combat support, and last but not the least is the Dreadnaught who carry heavy armour and deal copious amounts of damage via their impressive arsenal. E3 Trailer for F2P FPS Blacklight Retribution showcases PS4 launch title

Blacklight Retribution is a free-to-play (F2P) FPS that was released last year for the PC, and now Sony has managed to procure it as a launch title for the PS4, issuing the trailer below to mark the occasion. As the video illustrates, Zombie Studios’ multiplayer shooter has a scifi theme and revolves around furious combat with deep weapon customisation – players can change the barrel, magazine, optic sights, muzzle, stock, camouflage and more – allowing for a huge number of weapon combinations. And yes, there appear to be mechs as well.

Namco Bandai Games have issued the full announcement trailer for Tekken Revolution, a PS3-exclusive title which will be free-to-play (F2P), featuring eight popular characters from the fighting/beat-em-up franchise. Gamers can – for the first time in the series – train these characters and tackle AI opponents in the Arcade Mode, while those looking for more of a challenge can engage in battle with online opponents through Ranked and Player Matches. New Special Arts and Critical Arts moves make it easy for newcomers to the franchise, while advanced payers can tactically deploy these manoeuvres of their choice of characters.

The character customisation allows you to strategically increase attributes such as Strength, Endurance and Vigor, according to your playstyle; create a character with high HP to who absorbs damage and lasts long, or go the other way and craft one who may be low on HP but can deal tremendous amounts of damage. The roster consists of King, Paul, Lili, Marshall, Asuka, Steve, Alisa and Lars; Tekken Revolution will be available on 11 June on PSN.
