Set to arrive on 22 March, the downloadable content adds two new heroes – Greedo and Nien Nunb – as well as a new mode called Extraction wherein the rebels must extract a bunch of resources and the Empire’s forces must prevent this from happening. There are also new locations, including a smelting factory and platforms on Sullust and Jabba the Hutt’s palace and a sail barge garage on the desert planet Tatooine, the new Relby V-10 rifle and DT-12 blaster pistol weapons and the Scatter Gun, Dioxis Grenade and Adrenaline Stim Star Cards.

First off, this time around, Faith uses momentum to gain speed and jump from roof to roof or slide through tight spaces; using zip lines help gain speed fast, while the addition of the new Shift move provides some brief acceleration and Quickturn can be employed to make sharp turns (90 or 180 degree). Gadgets like the Mag Rope also let the main character latch onto specific points and traverse the city of Glass.

The Disruptor is an upgrade to Faith’s glove which allows her to destroy KrugerSec and AI systems, and while she doesn’t carry a gun, her martial arts skill lets the player use the character’s momentum to quickly and efficiently takedown enemies with light and heavy attacks. Constant movement builds Focus which prevents enemies from striking Faith, and one she is completely focused, she can perform some powerful attacks.

The concept art depicts rebel forces attacking enemy soldiers with Nien Nunb (or a similar character) leading the charge. Outer Rim will be followed by Bespin in Summer, Death Star in Fall and the fourth – as yet unnamed – expansion pack in early 2017.

The trailer depicts intense sequences of combat from the same, with infantry as well as aerial, ground and naval vehicles engaging in furious battle.

The free update will arrive on 8 December for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 bringing with it a new mode and two fresh maps. It will pit players against each other as opposing forces of the New Republic and the Empire clash on the remote desert planet, around 29 years prior to the events in The Force Awakens. The trailer showcases the epic action which one would ideally be able to participate in, with blaster fire and explosions wreaking havoc on the ground as AT-STs and Walkers strut around, and fighter aircraft fill the sky.

DICE did not share any details of what to expect from the upcoming content and neither any release date has been fixed, however they did mention that more details will be shared soon. The Battle of Jakku arrives next week

Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass is comprised of 4 post-release expansion pack which will feature new content and will take you to new locations set across the Star Wars Galaxy. Season pass owners will get two-week early access to each expansion pack. In addition, you will also get “Shoot First” emote.

If you are planning to buy the game’s Season Pass, you should probably go for a newly announced Ultimate Edition which will cost you $70 and it features all the content included in the Deluxe Edition alongside the season Pass.                 

The pricing set for this Season Pass is ridiculous, EA is going Dark side on all of us.

Expect to arrive later this year along with the Holiday update, the content will unfortunately not be coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3 due to its size and scale. Among expected features such as destructible and repairable bridges, comes also a low dynamic cloud layer allowing for better separation between ground and aerial units, which lets players indulge in dogfights in the sky and infantry on firefights on the ground better.

Set to arrive on 17 November, the game will also allow players to experience The Battle of Jakku, with those who pre-order it gaining access to it on 1 December and others a week later on 8^th of the same month. The teaser showcases the action on the desert planet, as the New Republic and Imperial forces collide, and it looks epic with AT-ATs on the ground, X-Wings and TIE Fighters speeding across the sky and a damaged Star Destroyer plummeting to the surface.

This is probably also a good time to reiterate that the Season Pass is priced at $50 and contains four expansions, including new locations, two-week early access to each of the add-ons as well as an exclusive “Shoot First” emote. There is also the Ultimate Edition, which contains the main game, the Season Pass and Deluxe Edition content, which will set you back around $120.
