Codemasters’ racing game is out today for the masses in the US, and will be available in Europe on 27 June for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, which is why we have the launch trailer for Grid: Autosport to prepare you for all that it entails. Featuring five disciplines and 22 tracks such as Indianapolis and street sources in cities like Barcelona (Spain) and San Francisco (US), the game looks to be what fans of the genre have been waiting for.

GRID: Autosport Black Edition Screenshots show Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupe Black Series car, Ravenwest Liveries

Codemasters have sent forth a handful of screenshots showing off what you get if you procure the Black Edition of GRID: Autosport, their racing game for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. As previously stated, the extra content consists of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupe Black Series car, 5 Black Edition White Ravenwest Liveries, 20 Extra Black Edition Online Livery Patterns and 10 new Premium sponsors with objectives, with the images below illustrating the aforementioned car and some Ravenwest Liveries.

GRID: Autosport Official Announcement Trailer unleashed; Limited Black Edition revealed

Just a few hours after a bunch of screenshots from Grid: Autosport hit the internet, Codemasters have now unleashed the official trailer marking the game’s announcement unto the masses. The developers intend to ensure that the upcoming installment in the racing series provides a more realistic experience that the previous games in the franchise, and have stated that the title will feature a more sim-type authentic handling model as players race across 22 locations, with most of these being primarily circuit based. Autosport will arrive this June on the PC, XBox 360 and PS3.

Codemasters have listened to fans and included the much sought after cockpit view, which should greatly please fans of the genre. They have also announced the Limited Black Edition for pre-order, which contains the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupe Black Series car, 5 Black Edition White Ravenwest Liveries, 20 Extra Black Edition Online Livery Patterns and 10 new Premium sponsors with objectives.

Leaked Screenshots of Grid: Autosport

Several new images have leaked on the internet from what appears to be Grid: Autosport, the next game in Codemasters’ hit racing series. The images show off some tracks and vehicles from the game, though mostly from a cinematic angle; however, one of the screenshots lends credence to reports that there might be a first-person/cockpit view. The developers had earlier released a teaser promising a related announcement (likely to be the game announcement) on 22 April.

Codemasters teases new GRID-related announcement on 22 April

Codemasters have uploaded a short video on the GRID YouTube channel which suggests that a new game (GRID 3?) in the long-running popular racing series is in the works. The brief teaser – set to the soothing sounds of racing vehicles – was accompanied by the text “Brace Yourselves…Racing is Coming”, and features the date 22.4.14, which means that we can expect an update on this on 22 April. New F1 2013 video showcases the Hungaroring circuit, reveals launch in October

Codemasters has issued a new work-in-progress in-game video of F1 2013, showcasing Toro Rosso–Ferrari’s Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo racing on the Hungaroring circuit, to mark the announcement of its release date. The upcoming instalment of the popular racing series arrives on 4 October in Europe and 8 October in North America on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. The clip below features narration by former F1 driver Anthony Davidson, who is also a Technical Consultant for F1 2013, and details the significance of speed while navigating the curves of the famous track.

Codemasters have followed through on their promise and issued a teaser as well as gameplay trailers for F1 2013, showcasing the next title in their racing franchise. The teaser is for the classic edition of the multiplatform game, while the other two clips demonstrate hotlaps at the Silverstone and Nurburgring motor racing circuits. F1 2013 is set for worldwide release this Autumn on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3; it contains a new gameplay mode called F1 Classics, which provides gamers the opportunity to race classic cars on iconic circuits against legendary drivers from the 1980′s for the first time in these series.

Furthermore, the game will be available worldwide in two editions: the Standard Edition contains the full game with new game modes, enhanced AI, Multiplayer extended with Racenet as well as 10 iconic drivers including Nigel Mansell, Mario Andretti, Emerson Fittipaldi and Gerhard Berger, 5 legendary cars, from Ferrari, Williams and Lotus, Circuito De Jerez, Brands Hatch and more. Meanwhile, the Classic Edition contains all of the above PLUS seven iconic drivers including David Coulthard, Eddie Irvine, Alain Prost and Jacques Villeneuve, five legendary cars in addition to the Imola and Estoril classic circuits.

Codemasters tease F1 2013 reveal on 15 July

Codemasters has released a single image via the official Facebook Page of their F1 Games, teasing the reveal of the next game in this racing franchise – F1 2013. The upcoming title will mark the fifth in the series by the developers, following the release of F1 2012 in September 2012 on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. It will be interesting to see if they retain the Ego Engine used in the previous game, or if they choose to base it on something else entirely; my guess is that it’s probably the former (modified/upgraded), given the short time span between the last game and F1 2013, but we shall find out more tomorrow. We’ll bring you the latest on this as and when it emerges.

Codemasters has unleashed its highly anticipated multiplatform racing extravaganza GRID 2 on the masses, and the following trailer marks its launch on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. The video shows off some spectacular cars that haunt most racing car enthusiasts’ dreams in locales around the world, such as the McLaren F1 GT and Pagani Huayra on the streets of Paris, the Volvo S60 BTCS, Gomez Competition GC 10.1 and BMW 320 clashing in Austria’s Red Bull Ring and Dodge Chargers and Ford Mustang Mach 1 Twister Specials speeding along the open roads on the California Coast. There are many more locations to race through of course, including hot Dubai and exotic Japan, with a total of 80 routes in 14 locations across three continents as you make your way out of the rookie masses and towards the elusive rank of global superstar.

Obviously no racing game is complete without an exhaustive list of cars to choose from and GRID has that in spades, with the best of the best vehicles over the last four decades. Different game modes such as Time Attack, Drift and Touge also exist to expand your racing experience, while features such as split-screen and online multiplayer allow you to challenge your friends from across the globe; furthermore, the extensive online mode has its own levelling up and upgrade system, with RaceNet issuing new Global Challenges to complete and Rivals to face off against every week.

Yep, GRID 2 has stormed into stores; now let’s see if it can race though the treacherous slopes of the gamer’s heart (and short attention span).
