Dishonored: The Brigmore Witches gameplay trailer marks launch of final DLC

Bethesda has finally unleashed the last piece of Dishonored DLC – The Brigmore Witches – and the following trailer shows off some of the gameplay players can expect from the add-on for Arkane Studios’ first-person stealth-action game. The downloadable content is now available via Xbox LIVE (800 Microsoft Points) and Steam ($9.99) for the Xbox 360 and PC respectively, though PS3 owners will have to wait until tomorrow to get their hands on it via PSN. As we gradually move closer towards the 13 August release date of The Brigmore Witches, the last DLC for Dishonored, Bethesda keeps up the stream of media for the stealth-action title with this complete batch of Trophy/Achievement artwork for the downloadable content. The images hint towards what players may have to accomplish in order to attain the relevant achieving: Parting Shot suggest that we may see a confrontation between the protagonist of the main game Corvo Attano and the DLC’s main character Daud; Silence is Golden is pretty self-explanatory and likely revolves around being stealthy and remaining undetected; Wall of Flesh is likely obtained after employing human shields for a certain number of times, and Changed Ways and All Come to Ruin very strongly point towards the two possible outcomes of the add-on. There are just a few days left before the imminent release of The Brigmore Witches, which is the final DLC for stealth-action title Dishonored, and Bethesda have issued several images showing off various in-game paintings Delilah, who is the primary antagonist to the character you play – master assassin Daud – in the add-on. The Brigmore Witches sees the conclusion of Daud’s tale from The Knife of Dunwall DLC after he discovers that the identity of the leader of the Brigmore Witch coven, and attempts to put a stop to the convoluted plans of Delilah. Complete Elder Scrolls Collection (Anthology) heads to PC on 10 September for $79.99; various images below

Bethesda has announced some great news for PC fans of the hugely-popular Elder Scrolls RPG series; The Elder Scrolls Anthology – a premium box set consisting of all five main games from the series as well as the official add-ons and expansions for Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim will be released on 10 September for very affordable price of $79.99/€59.99/£49.99. The collection also includes five physical maps illustrating the realms of Tamriel, Iliac Bay, Morrowind, Cyrodiil and Skyrim for a more immersive experience. Check out the description of the various titles in the series as well as some delicious images of the box set below:

“• Arena – Assume the role of a lone prisoner and travel to Tamriel’s most famous and dangerous sites to collect the shattered Staff of Chaos and save the Empire from the evil Imperial battlemage, Jagar Tharn. The Anthology features the original version of Arena and will launch within a DOS emulator.

• Daggerfall – The ancient golem Numidium, a powerful weapon once used to unify Tamriel has once again been unearthed. In the power struggle that follows, the King of Daggerfall is murdered and his vengeful spirit haunts the kingdom. • Oblivion – With the Empire ready to crumble, the gates of Oblivion open and demons march upon the land. In the shadow of evil, a hero will rise from the ashes of a fallen Empire. You must find the true heir of the Septim line and restore him to the Imperial throne, while unraveling the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel. Also includes: Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles expansions.

• Skyrim – Dragons, long lost to the passages of the Elder Scrolls, have returned to Tamriel. The future of Skyrim, even the Empire itself, hangs in the balance as they wait for the prophesized Dragonborn to come; a hero born with the power of The Voice, and the only one who can stand amongst the dragons. Wolfenstein: The New Order Screenshots

Bethesda has released a set of new screenshots of upcoming first-person shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order. The game is set in an alternate universe in 1960 where players will assume the role of B.J. Blazkowicz (protagonist of the 2009 Wolfenstein scifi FPS by Raven Software) tasked to initiate an counter-attack in Europe where Nazis have won WWII. The game is being developed by MachineGames, and slated to launch in 2014 for the PC, Xbox 360, PS3 as well as on the next-generation consoles.

The screens below are the part of a preview over on The Escapist, showcases mutated super soldiers in an asylum, dual-wielding shooting, Nazi Tank and highly crafted environments which are weaved together to provide immersive fast-paced gaming experience.

The Evil Within screens show horrific environments

Bethesda Software has sent forth a set of new screenshots for The Evil Within. The game is described as a survival horror game, which is being developed by Shinji Mikami who is the head of the Tango Gamewoks and the creator of the popular Resident Evil series. The game is being powered by id’s Tech 5 and is set for launch in 2014 for the PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4. The game promises to deliver a true survival horror experience. Players will traverse a world full of threats where you have limited resources at your disposal to survive. The screens below shows Sebastian Castellanos and his partner- Joseph investigating an mental asylum. Arkane Studios and Bethesda have made good on their word, and released an official statement detailing the contents, release date and pricing of The Brigmore Witches DLC for Dishonored; the content marks the final add-on for the stealth-action game as well as the conclusion to master assassin Daud’s story. The plot revolves around the player attempting to disrupt the nefarious plans of Delilah – the leader of the Brigmore Witch coven – while calling upon the aid of factions such as the Dead Eels and the Hatters, though in the end you will answer to Corvo Attano – the main game’s protagonist – for your actions. Your choices will have consequences, and ultimately determine your path towards redemption or perdition.

The Brigmore Witches DLC adds supernatural abilities such as Pull – which allows you to draw enemies towards you and suspend them mid-air or use them as a shield; Summon Assassin enables you to call upon Whalers to aid you and Void Gaze helps reveal hidden Runes and Bone Charms. New items such as Chokedust – which stuns enemies, Stun Mines which shock opponents, and a concealed Wristbow which can shoot sleeping darts and explosive bolts also make an appearance. New locations include the Draper’s Ward, textile mills and the boat docks, while players should also prepare for return journeys to places such as Coldridge Prison.

Furthermore, the players can carry over their save game from The Knife of Dunwall to this DLC, which means that your powers, weapon/item upgrades, Chaos Level etc from the previous Daud-oriented downloadable content all follows through, ensuring a more smooth and persistent experience. Priced at $9.99/£7.99/€9.99/800 Microsoft Points, The Brigmore Witches pack will be available for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on 13 August in North America and a day later in Europe.

The image shows a female character sitting in the back of a car gazing out of a rain-covered window in a contemplative pose; is she a possible protagonist, a potential playable character or something else. MachineGames has released three high-resolution wallpapers of Wolfenstein: The New Order, their upcoming id Tech 5-based multiplatform FPS based on the classic shooter franchise. The game takes place in Europe as Nazi forces have emerged as the victors of World War II, and players assume the role of Captain B.J. Blazkowicz initiating a counter-attack against this seemingly unstoppable war machine of super soldiers, robots and advanced tech to prevent them from persisting with their plans of global dominance.
