Visceral’s upcoming FPS intends to portray an intense fast-paced cop story, similar to great crime TV shows, and it does show in the trailer below, as we see different key characters in the process of takedowns and armed confrontaions. Meanwhile, the online part of the game is all about criminals attempting to carry out heists or other capers and successfully evade or defeat the cops, while the latter need to put a stop to plans of the opposing side. This means that non-lethal takedowns involving Tasers and other such police equipment also come into play, as do chases involving car, boasts and even choppers.

The trailer features the song “I’m So Sorry” by American rock band Imagine Dragons.

There will be four story-themed main expansion packs adding new multiplayer maps, modes, vehicles and more:

• Criminal Activity is set to arrive in Summer 2015, and will boast of destructible maps featuring fast-paced gameplay and assorted small crime jobs
• Robbery is also expected to release in Summer, and will consist of players tackling the opposing side at key locations
• Getaway will make its way to us in Fall the same year, and as the name implies, revolves around high-speed pursuits as part of the heist
• Finally, Betrayal is all about trying to find out who is untrustworthy, and you can do so in Winter/Early 2016

Premium owners will also gain access to 12 Gold Battlepacks, personalisation options such as gun camos, ammo skins etc, access to excusive events such as double XP and ingame missions, priority position in server queues, new players masks which have unique gameplay benefits, a gun bench that allows one to visually customise weapons and track one’s kills per weapon, access to Battlefield Hardline Premium-specific tournaments and ladders, Legendary Status which lets one replay their progression system as well as two weeks early access to the aforementioned four expansion packs.

While the campaign aims to provide a TV show–like crime action drama experience, the multiplayer pits cops against criminal elements in a variety of modes. As the trailer espouses, the police can carry out non-lethal takedowns, arrests and interrogate suspects on-the-fly, conducting SWAT raids and attempting to rescue hostages.

Both sides have access to a number of new gadgets such as grappling hooks, ziplines, stun guns as well as vehicles expected of such a game, including police cruisers, muscle cars, bikes, helicopters and more. The shooter releases on 17 March on the PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Battlefield games are always known for its competitive multiplayer mode however, this time Visceral is taking the single player portion of the game to a completely new direction but, retaining the same Battlefield like experience. It is something totally different from Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 Campaign. It is a story driven campaign which is more like a TV Drama and revolves around Nick Mendoza a cop from Miami Police.  The decision you take during the campaign will have consequences later on in the mission. Watch the video below showcasing Mendoza using his scanner to tag enemies, gathering Intel, shooting criminals, frisking them, using various guns as well as performing non-lethal takedowns.
