Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr is described as “persistent sandbox action-RPG” set in the sci-fi Warhammer 40K universe where player will step in the shoes of a member of an elite organisation called inquisition, loyal towards the Imperium of man, a galactic human empire. The inquisition is fighting a war to the Imperium from all possible threats.

The game stars a young girl called Ajna who has powerful abilities and so set outs to discover the truth behind them; along the way she will encounter new unique heroes and also acquire more abilities as she defeats enemies who would attempt to impede her path. Featuring 2D hand-drawn animation and a soundtrack by composer Hiroki Kikuta, known for his work in Secret of Mana, the game also boasts of a story inspired by south-east Asian mythologies.

This clip sadly doesn’t contain any gameplay, but it does promise a playable prototype sometime around September, and the arrival of an Indiegogo campaign soon. No platforms for the game have been announced yet.

The teaser shows off the varied fast-paced gameplay, some of the different enemy types and locations as well as two aforementioned classes; the former is skilled at dealing devastation from range via his mastery of the arcane arts, while the latter is all about close-quarters combat with his heavy armour and shield slot helping sustain damage and his skills useful in knocking down enemies, charging into them and dishing out physical damage.

You may also recall that the developers previously unveiled two other new classes – the Phlogistoneer and the Umbralist. NeocoreGames has also stated that The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III arrives this month on Steam for 14.99.
