Bloodborne was launched just a few days back on the PS4, and here to remind you of the fact is this new trailer as well as a few screenshots from Japan Studio and From Software‘s third-person action RPG.
The trailer is a 90-second extended cut of a recent TV commercial showcasing the game, and it serves to highlight some of the varied enemies – including werewolves, fire-breathing monsters and large humanoid opponents – one will encounter in and around the beleaguered city of Yharnam. The song playing in the background is Hunt You Down by The Hit House feat. Ruby Friedman.
The developers have also detailed some features pertaining to the customisation of the weaponry that players will have access to in the game; hunting beasts nets one Blood Echoes, which can be used as currency in game to buy items at your home base at Hunter’s Dream. At this hub, one can also repair and upgrade weapons using Blood Gems that heighten attack power and add special features to weapons once attached; speaking to the Doll at the hub will allow you to level up your character, and interacting with the Memory Altar lets one learn runes that can have different effects, such as increasing amount of Blood Echoes procured from hunted beasts or allowing more items to be carried in the inventory.
