SDCC: Extended Tekken 7 announcement trailer has more characters

If you watched the initial announcement trailer for Tekken 7 then you know it focused mostly on the Mishima family; this extended cut shown at San Diego Comic-Con does that as well, but also gives us glimpses of several other characters. The clip starts of by showing us scenes from several decades past, before moving to the present, where Heihachi and Kazuya Mishima face off each other in a volcanic location.

The trailer gives focus to what the narrative of the Unreal Engine 4-powered game will look like, and seems set to mark an end to the Mishima saga while also delving into the origins of the Devil Gene. There’s still no word on an official release date for Bandai Namco Games’ fighting title, or on which platforms it will be available, but we’ll post that as soon as it’s known.
