Screenshots and trailer of Beautiful Roguelike adventure EarthNight revealed

EarthNight is a hand-painted roguelike adventure runner for the PS4 and PS Vita being developed by indie studio Cleaversoft; you can check out the first screenshots and trailer below. Set amidst a dragon apocalypse wherein the creatures have taken over the planet and prompted the exile of the remnants of humanity to outer space, the game sees two characters – Stanley and Sydney – return to exact vengeance (and reclaim the planet?).

The gameplay consists of a bit of skydiving to the planet’s surface passing by the dragons that also serves as a level select, and mostly of fast-paced 2D running on the dragons backs. While the developers have touted EarthNight’s ease of access in Stanley due to the character’s simple control scheme mostly involving the use of two buttons, they have also stressed that Sydney will satisfy those seeking a challenge and subsequent reward.
