Sandbox Fantasy RPG Astral Terra screenshots illustrate female Dark Elf, Fey

Indie studio Tethys Interactive has issued a couple of new ingame images of Astral Terra, their full editable procedurally generated sandbox fantasy RPG being developed for the PC based on the Unity Pro game engine. The first screenshot shows a female dark elf facing a skeleton in a dark dungeon, while the second one depicts a female fey exploring a lush Voxel forest. The game itself allows players to choose from three races – Fey, Dark Elf or Human – and then mould their character according to their preference – which can range from an indomitable fighter to a powerful wizard. Expect varied dynamic locales consisting of forests, mountains, plains, dungeons etc , as well as a fully destructible and editable environment.

Combat isn’t everything; players can mine, craft, sculpt and construct, effectively shaping the world around them, while gaining XP for character progression. Astral Terra is scheduled for release in July 2014 if it is fully funded and all goes to plan.
