0Ryse: Son of Rome hacks its way to the PC this Fall; first screenshots here
Deep Silver and Crytek have revealed that the former Xbox One-exclusive third-person hack ‘n’ slash game will arrive on the PC this Fall, and have released a handful of screenshots from Ryse: Son of Rome. This version of the game will include all DLC previously released for the Xbox One in addition to 4K resolution support for the extreme gamer! The CryEngine-powered title was released back in November 2013 to mixed reviews criticising its repetitive combat but praising the setting and visuals.
After perusing the screenshots above, which primarily depict protagonist Roman general Marius Titus in combat against assorted enemies, click here to view some videos from Ryse. The game sees the main character traverse various locales, ranging from lands abounding with barbarians to the heart of Rome itself, as he seeks glory for the Roman Empire and vengeance for the brutal murder of his family. Love for Hack ‘n’ slash games as well as TV series like Spartacus and Rome means that I for one look forward to getting my hands on the PC version of the game.
