Risen 3: Titan Lords gets a new trailer; main features announced

After the trickle of media over the past few weeks, Piranha Bytes and Deep Silver’s upcoming multiplatform fantasy action RPG now gets a new trailer to mark the announcement of its release date; Risen 3: Titan Lords will launch on 12 August in North America and 15 August in Europe for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

The CGI trailer shows the armoured protagonist sneaking up on a skeletal sorcerer amidst some ruins in a dark forest, and using various means such as magic and his sword to take it down; of course, making things difficult are a pack of summoned hellhounds, whom you may remember from the teaser trailer.

The developers have also expanded on the key features of their game, which boasts of diverse locations to explore (run, walk or swim!) including small medieval-style towns, dark mines and the supernatural shadow world; three distinct guilds to join, each of which offer unique skills, equipment and quests; an all-new combat system with fresh animations, and finally, several crystal magic-based abilities to tinker with, including elements like lightning, fire and ice.
