0Rainbow Six: Siege E3 Screenshots, Key Art feature procedural destruction, tactical action
Ubisoft Montreal’s pre-alpha footage of the Hostage Rescue mission in Rainbow Six: Siege blew everyone away at E3, and now we have some screenshots and a piece of artwork to scrutinise in detail the procedural destruction and tactical gameplay that makes this shooter stand out. The artwork emphasises the cops v/s criminals theme of the FPS, while it and the screenshots also illustrate how the procedural destruction made possible by the Realblast engine can change the way the game plays out.
One can breach floors, windows, walls and roofs with explosive s, while bullets literally can rip through cover and walls, forcing you to make tactical decisions on the fly. Of course, you can fortify your position by erecting barricades with barbed wire, reinforcing walls and even deploying shields, though the team assaulting can also choose various points of ingress, making for fast-paced intense combat situations.
