Puzzle-adventure game Wayward Manor heads to PC, Mac and tablets this Fall

Indie studio The Odd Gentleman is developing a new puzzle-adventure game called Wayward Manor, that comes from acclaimed British author Neil Gaiman (remember gems like Coraline and Stardust). The game revolves around the main character in a gothic New England estate; you play a ghost attempting to repossess the house he haunts from its new occupants – who are a dysfunctional bunch of eccentric people ranging from an uppity butler, hyperactive twins to the buxom maid, as well as solve the mystery surrounding his own demise so as to move on to a peaceful afterlife. In the video below, Gaiman explains the premise of the game, the ideas that led to its inception and more.

To attain your objectives players can utilise multiple tactics so as to try and drive the new inhabitants of the house insane by exploiting their various anxieties and fears. The game is being published by Moonshark and its first part is set to arrive this Fall on the PC, Mac and tablets, with further portions planned if the initial one is successful. Furthermore, various pre-order bonuses are in the works, such as the opportunity to name an ingame character, or the chance to dine with Gaiman in Los Angeles for $10,000 (for those with really deep pockets).
