PS4-exclusive Knack gets a ton of screenshots and concept art
Next on today’s list is this HUGE lot of images from Knack, the Mark Cerny’s PS4-exclusive action-platformer in which the titular hero is mankind’s last resort against the goblin menace, who have invaded Earth. Of course, this doesn’t that players should expect only one enemy type; the wide range of opponents includes tanks, mechs, airships and robots. Aiding the protagonist are the Doctor – an inventor who harnesses the power of ancient relics to revive Knack, his teenage assistant Lucas and the latter’s adventurer uncle Ryder, as well as billionaire industrialist Viktor.
Environments players will traverse range from huge airships and cities to forests and caves, with the colourful visual is intended as an antidote to the typical shooter experience, while the controls hark back to the good old simplicity of games such as Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter. Our hero gains powers by absorbing the aforementioned relics, allowing him to transform from a diminutive 3-foot creature upto a towering 30-feet being ready to beatdown enemies. As the screens below depict, absorbing various materials can lead to interesting scenarios, as metal Knack can be powerful but also magnetic, and while wood Knack may not have that problem it can be easier to burn. Don’t forget to view the debut trailer and peruse more screenshots at this link.
