0PS3-exclusive platformer Puppeteer ‘Powers: Heads Will Roll’ Video
Next is a new video of Sony’s upcoming platformer Puppeteer, in which art director Gavin Moore expands on some of the ideas behind the unique and fascinating world that the PS3-exclusive title introduces us to. The story involves a boy called Kutaro whose soul is stuck in a wooden puppet, whose head is chomped off by baddies, and how he journeys – accompanied by a strange but helpful cat – to recover his body using various items he finds along the way as temporary heads.
Moore talks about the diversity of evil generals players will encounter, as well as the variety of locales and models in the adventure game. Furthermore, Sony also revealed how there are more than 100 heads in Puppeteer, with the most interesting ones being the Hero Heads since they grant a special permanent power to the main character. For example, the Knight Head grants you the ability to deflect incoming projectiles, the Moon Pirate Head endows Kutaro with a grappling hook to pull enemies closer or latch onto a boss, the Ninja Head lets you throw explosives at your opponents and destroy parts of the environment while the Wrestler Head grants Brute Power enabling you to crush enemies and shatter destructible parts of environment.
The cool little game arrives on the PS3 on 10 September in North America and on the following day across Europe. Don’t forget to check out some pretty screenshots at this link.
