Pre-Alpha Gameplay trailer for open-world survival horror RPG Darkwood
Today we have a brand new gameplay trailer of Darkwood, a top-down open-world old-school survival horror game featuring RPG and roguelike elements, developed for the PC by a 3-man team from Poland called Acid Wizard Studio. The video shows footage from the pre-alpha stage and illustrates the procedurally generated world, which means that player can expect randomised and unique locations and events.
The incorporation of a flexible crafting system enables you to create various items, traps and improve your existing gear with suitable modifications, while you can also learn various skills to improve your character as you progress in the game. The clip showcases the impressive immersive nightmarish atmosphere expected in a good survival horror game, while the contrast between what you can see and hear heightens the tension and keeps you on constant alert. The game has raised more than $26,000 of its goal of $40,000 with 9 days left to reach the mark; if you like what you see, do visit its Indiegogo page to do your bit and check out the various pledge rewards as well.
