0The next Assassin’s Creed game will be take place in Victorian London
The next entry in Assassin’s Creed franchise is set in the city of London during 19th century Victorian Era. According to Kotaku, the 2015 edition of Assassin’s Creed will be titled as Assassin’s Creed: Victory. It is said that the game is currently in works at Ubisoft Quebec and it will be out in fall 2015 for the PC, Xbox One and PS4.
Fans of the series were clamouring to see Victorian setting in an Assassin’s Creed game since long. Assassin’s Creed: Victory is powered by same Anvil engine which has been used to develop Unity and Kotaku was able to get a look at a work-in-progress, seven-minute gameplay video which featured a new item–grappling hook that will allow the next assassin to climb various buildings and swing around them. Take a look at some of the screenshots which are available at Kotaku.
Ubisoft has posted an official statement, confirming that the news is legit. You can read their response below
“It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we’re disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public. The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we’re excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin’s Creed Unity for players.”
