0New videos highlight gameplay mechanics in The Tomorrow Children
Understanding the gameplay mechanics of The Tomorrow Children is a challenge for those who haven’t seen or experienced it for themselves, which is why Q-Games has posted not one but three videos showcasing the same.
The clips have been provided in the aftermath of the recently concluded closed alpha test for the PS4-exclusive title set in a dystopian future with strong communist state vibes, as players control projected clone constructed from remnants of human DNA after a Cold War experiment to fuse the minds of men lead to the near extinction of our species. Players must therefore set out into the planet-wide Void and collect souls of humanity that has been encapsulated in hidden matryoshka (Russian nesting) dolls, gather resources to upgrade and develop their town, resurrect those acquired souls to increase the town’s population and defend the base from the Izverg.
Now while all the citizens carry out the same tasks, they can don different uniforms (Citizen, Combatant, Engineer Commander, Miner and Radio Officer) for role-specific advantages/weaknesses; a Combatant can start out with a shotgun while the Miner gets a Pick Axe. There are various ways one can defend the town; this can range from using basic weaponry such as purchasable shotguns and rocket launchers to acquiring upgrades like artillery turrets and hovertanks.
