0New trailer celebrates The Forest’s imminent arrival on the PS4
Endnight Games’ excellent open-world first-person survival horror game The Forest is making its way to the PS4, and here is a new trailer confirming the great news.
The sandbox title, which sees the player in the aftermath of a passenger jet crash stuck in a forest wherein numerous cannibalistic mutants abound, got a pre-Alpha release on the PC back in May. While there are no set missions or quests or a linear story to follow, the game gives players the freedom to explore their surroundings, scavenge for resources, hunt animals and use what they find to construct useful items, traps and bases to stay safe in.
All the above is done during the day because once its night the player must defend himself from the mutants. The PS4 version of The Forest will employ the DualShock 4 controller to enhance immersion, as voices will come out of the controller akin to that of a walkie-talkie, while the console’s Share feature can be used to display what bases once has created or places they have discovered with others.
