New screenshots illustrate the Cyberpunk environments in Magrunner: Dark Pulse

3AM Games has unleashed a handful of new screenshots of Magrunner: Dark Pulse, their first-person action puzzler that seems to be a fascinating hybrid of cyberpunk futurism and H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos. Set in 2050, the game revolves around protagonist Dax Ward who has been chosen along with several other highly-intelligent youths by the Gruckezber Corporation to participate in the Magtech deep space exploration training program, which gradually leads to a nightmarish collision of futuristic technology and ancient horrors.

The screenshots indicate that we can expect varied and colourful levels; no drab brownish environments to trudge through. Magrunner: Dark Pulse will arrive later this year on the PC, Xbox 360 (via Xbox LIVE) and PS3 (via PSN); you can check out the debut trailer right here.
