New screens & info of Infamous Second Son

Today we have the first batch of screenshots of Infamous: Second Son, Sony’s PS4-exclusive open-world action-adventure game being developed by Sucker Punch Productions. Accompanying the images is a bit of info about the game’s protagonist Delsin Rowe, a 24-year-old Native American with anarchist tendencies who acquires his abilities while trying to aid victims of an accident. The incident reveals his dormant ability to absorb smoke, which can be channelled in several forms including “bullet-like smoke projectiles, a teleporting smoke dash”; I am sure further abilities will open up as players progress. Delsin need to recharge his powers from fonts such as “chimneys, car fires and smoke grenades”.

Second Son is set in the port city of Seattle (US) where the DUP, a special security force, tracks, monitors and detains those with powers (who they have classified as bioterrorists), though several of its members reportedly possess similar abilities as well. Delsin can dismantle/disrupt the various DUP installations in the city by force or stealth, while there also appears to be a morality choice system in play as well with players choosing to “kill or spare a guard”.
