New colourful Hohokum screenshots accompany release date announcement

Hohokum is very distinctive sandbox game by Honeyslug and SCE Santa Monica Studio scheduled for release on 12 August for the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, and what makes it stand out from other games in the genre is its appealing vibrant colourful world, wherein you control a serpent-like creature that can fly. The game’s non-linear nature means that the focus is on exploration and immersion rather than completing numerous set objectives, though the developers have said that there will be some of goals to achieve and various secrets to uncover while you traverse the beautiful realm.

Work on Hohokum commenced back in 2008, so the devs have had quite a bit of time to shape and mould the game into what their vision of it is; inspiration for all of it came from numerous sources, including real world places. Honeyslug has said that the adventure title will be playable on the PS3 and PS4 at the PlayStation Booth at E3, with the new Jungle Plateau area being showcased, so be sure to check it out if you plan to attend the Expo.
