0New Character Art for Post-Apocalyptic Tactical RPG Graywalkers: Purgatory
Dreamlords Digital has issued a few new pieces of concept art from Graywalkers: Purgatory, their tactical turn-based RPG set in a supernatural post-apocalyptic world wherein Heaven, Hell and Earth have merged. Inspired by franchises like X-Com, Fallout, Jagged Alliance and Baldur’s Gate, the PC title is one wherein player’s actions can shape the world around them as they attempt to unite the realm for mankind. Graywalkers: Purgatory boasts of three game modes: standard campaign, the procedurally-generated Freeform and a team-based PVP multiplayer mode to be possibly added later on.
The main character is completely customisable, with freedom to choose gender, race (Human/Hybrid- Cambion, Nephilim, Dhampir, Wolfkin and Hunterborne), appearance, skills, special abilities etc. The choice of Paths (classes) include the firearms expert Soldiers, hand-to-hand specialist Martialist, magic-wielding Arcanist, Techs, Scouts, Agents and more. One can choose between Isometric and third-person perspectives according to their preference, while leading and recruiting upto 36 unique Graywalkers on their quest.
There are strategic points to capture and bases to build and defend, resources to scavenge, ancient relics to procure, new technologies to research, numerous items to craft, varied locations and regions to explore (Lost Vegas, Blackgold City, United States of Purgatory, Zombie Fields, Heaven Gates etc) and several vehicles to aid in exploration and combat. Meanwhile, the enemies you will face are diverse – Demons, Devils, Rogue Angels, Rabid Werewolves, Feral Vampires, Zombies, Mobsters, Cultists, Bandits and Mercenaries are but some of the opponents you will have to defeat during your travels. Check out the Kickstarter page for tons more info and some pre-alpha footage; the project has raised around $31,000 of its $100,000 goal so far.
