Mondo Zappa goes to the Moon in these Killer is Dead screenshots
Kadokawa Games has developed a habit of periodically releasing large batches of screenshots for Killer is Dead, and today we have yet another such barrage of images of the upcoming hack and slash action title by Grasshopper Manufacture. Most of the screens depict protagonist Mondo Zappa stylishly cutting a swathe through multitudes of quite strange-looking enemies in a mansion on the moon.
Helping him accomplish this is his katana and cybernetic arm, which changes into various weapons such as a drill for perforating those armoured opponents and destroying walls, as well as a weapon which shoots projectiles that freeze/slow down enemies, in addition to your standard charged shots. The character renders depict the various weapon modes, and some of the characters and enemies our hero will encounter on this strange journey. Yes, that seems to include a near-naked boss-like dude wearing nothing but gold chains and a crown.
Killer is Dead releases on 27 August on the Xbox 360 and PS3; peruse the images below and then access our other articles for tons more screenshots, concept art, videos and info on this over-the-top crazy yet fun game.
