Meet the next-gen Lara in the Tomb Raider:Definitive Edition Trailer

Square Enix has released a new video which focusses on the graphical features that are incorporated in Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. The developers have re-designed Lara’s face from the scratch, making her look more human like and emotive, but the best thing is Tress FX tech, which earlier appeared in the PC version of the game, adding physics to each and every hair strand which flows realistically in the wind as Lara traverse the world . Some of the dynamic effects are also added such as sub-surface scattering, when the light penetrates her skin that gives it a realistic soft glow. The mud, water and blood stick on her skins are graphically enhanced which adds an exquisite level of realism. Now the physics are also added to Lara’s gear. For instance each individual arrow in the quiver jiggles as she runs around, her bow bend in more realistic way and her climbing axe swing naturally from her body.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is set for launch on 28^th January
